Meeting called to order 4:08 P.M. in Room "C" of Development
Services on Horseshoe Drive.
The committee decided unanimously that Room "E" was preferred and
it will be the location for the next meeting.—
Comments were solicited on the articles in the Naples Daily News.
The discussion which ensued demonstrated the fact that the
majority of the articles appeared to be favorable to the
educational needs and desires of EMS.
George Barton then made a presentation on the Tuesday Board of
County Commissioners meeting, March 13, 1990.
Discussion ensued with the Board on transportation services
provided to non-ememgency patients moving from Immokalee to Naples
Community Hospital. The Board encouraged the Director to utilize
the phrasing "Clinic Patient Referral" instead of any referral to
patient transport services provided by EMS.
The financial report for FY 90 to date was presented. The
significance of the report were obvious to all concerned. The
unanimous consent of the Board suggested a letter of
congratulations to Jack Wampler and staff were appropriate and the
Director was requested to prepare such a document for the Chair's
signature.
Financial review of the current health care situation in Collier
County began. General discussion will be appropriate secondary to
the development of funding priorities within Emergency Medical
Services as well as in the County.
The Board tabled any discussion of absenteeism pending research
and presentation of the appropriate documents on absenteeism at
the next meeting.
