George Stansburg, Naples Police Department
Egon Hill

Guests:

The meeting was brought to order at approximately 3 :45 PM. There
followed a lengthy presentation of the facility at North Collier
Hospital by the Administrator, Paul Baschon, with a tour of the 50
bed facility currently operating at 20 bed capacity. Mr. Baschon
was a gracious host and provided an extensive presentation of this
newly opened health care center in North Naples.
The formal meeting was called to order by the chairman at 4 :35 PM.
George Barton distributed a number of handouts which are available
for absent members at the next meeting.
The details of the Immokalee urgent care problem were discussed
extensively by the group.
Other matters of discussion were briefly addressed on the finance
sub-committee. The sub-committee offered two strategies for the
Director to pursue.
* Maintain the current financing configuration with the
addition of a subscription program similar to Charlotte
County.
* Reduce EMS fees to a flat rate well above private Naples
taxis of $50.00 and absorb the remaining costs of EMS into
the ad valorem tax base.
Mr. Barton briefly requested the advisory council's suggestions on
the analysis of patient reply cards.
Meeting adjourned at 5:10 PM
