Resignation Letters/Vacancies \h\ rRovetm vgato February 23, 1989 Bill Erickson, Chairman Collier County EMSAC P.O. Box 10024 Naples, Florida 33941 Dear Chairman Erickson: I write this letter with deepest regret in that I must submit this resignation as a member of the Collier County Emergency Medical Services Advisory Council. Recent demands on my personal and professional commitments require that I take this action in the best interest of the organization. I would like to express my appreciation to EMSAC's past and present members for the many positive relationships and accomplishments the group has experienced. The actions of EMSAC are truly in the best interest of quality medical care and citizen service. Sincerely, i■,Ce.k") s7.C. Smelko • w = r` U • Geo. W. Henderson 150 First Avenue, N. Naples FL 33940 __'- , 20 January 1989 /~2~- \ Mr. Burt L. Saunders, Chairman Board of County Commissioners Naples, Florida. Dear Mr. Saunders: To begin , let me extend my sincere appreciation for the most wel- come letter which I received from you following the occasion of being awarded a beautiful plaque, as well as the unexpected Proclamation in my name, for the fifteen years of volunteer work for Collier County. This letter , however , is of sadder vein, inasmuch as I now find a conflict in the volunteer work as Sergeant-at-Arms for the Naples City Council , and my being a member of the Emergency Medical Services Advi- • sory Council . The dates of future ''Mayor's Town Meetings" are, always a full year in advance, and oddly enough , they always seem to coincide with the regular dates of the EMSAC meetings. This being the situation , I think it best that I submit my resig- nation from the fine body of EMSAC. This decision will not create any gaping vacancy on that Board , because there are several well qualified candidates waiting in the wings. In passing , I sincerely wish EMSAC, and most assuredly, the Board of County Commissioners, Godspeed. Regretfully, Gge).(6•107F1:1110/4 Geo. W. Henderson cc: Mr. James L. Reardon Emerg. Svcs. You see, most people have thier favorite charities which they support in the comunity in one way or another. I myself, find the fact that I can take my varied knowledge, coupled with my determination and perform a service for my community. I am truly excited when I stop to think that a common man can take thier feelings, along with thier peers' views on certain subjects, and in some small way relate them to our elected officials. It is with great dignity that I ask to be part of the Advisory Council. I have a very open schedule, so I would be available at the time of the met ings.
