MEMBERS PRESENT - Jeff Page, Beverly Utley, Tom Maguire, Bill Boettcher
GUESTS PRESENT - Doug Greenfield, Mark Willis
The meeting was called to order at 0930 hours and minutes were read.
OLD BUSINESS
1. Paramedic pay for entry level paramedic has increased to
$17,267.00 per year.
2. Re-establishment of zones and zone coverage were discussed today.
Final decisions to be made at the next staff meeting.
3. Jumpsuits are still being researched. Examples will be presented
at the next meeting.
4. Immokalee station received the pots and pans requested at the last
meeting. A microwave oven will be delivered in December.
5. Pooling money for meals at work for tax deduction purposes cannot
be written into the S.O.P. as policy. However, pending discussion
with an accountant, this may be obtainable through a memo.
NEW BUSINESS
1. Zones and zone coverage were discussed at this meeting. Final
decisions to be made at the next staff meeting. A memo on the
changes will follow.
2. Every Wednesday has now been designated as G.I. day for all kits.
(pediatric, trauma, and medical) . The purpose of this is to
shorten the time spent cleaning the units on Saturday. It is
scheduled so that the crew working on Wednesday also works the
following Saturday.
3. Nominations for advisory council members were received last pay
period. Election ballots to be received this pay period. Please
vote when you pick up your pay checks.
4. The Personnel Department advised here forward that no official
reprimands or written counseling may be purged from the personnel
files during employment tenure. Three day suspensions were
removed as a result of potential conflict with current county
policy.
5. Tuition reimbursements this year will be approved only for county
required training or certification programs, i.e. ACLS not covered
under county re-certifications.
The meeting was adjourned at 1230 hours.
