0935 Meeting called to order by Jeff Page. Minutes read and approved.
OLD BUSINESS
1 . A meeting with the part time employees is still in the process of being set up
and possibility of explorer group still being researched.
2. 501 Station. Roaches still a problem. Will be sprayed again. Various types
of doors were considered to seperate the two rooms. A vinyl sliding door was
decided on and will be ordered this week.
NEW BUSINESS
1 . Diane Flagg announced that a CPR Instructors course will be held at Naples
Community Hospital on April 14th from 8:00 - 4:30.
2. Jeff Page brought up the problem of an employee working an overtime shift and
taking a sick day in the same pay period. When this happens , the employee has
16 hours sick deducted and does not receive overtime pay. Doug will get with
Mr. Blankenship regarding this matter. He also announced an upcoming change
from time and a quarter to time and a half for overtime and the possiblility of
county paid high risk insurance.
3. Sue Keny brought up that the crews have been having problems with the new
electrodes sticking. This will be taken care of.
4. Doug Greenfield discussed budgeting. The staff is currently taking inventory
and needs input from all crews. Please start a list at each station and note
all replacements , repairs, additions, etc. to stations and equipment. Include
serial No. or county tag on this report when referring to equipment. All crews
are required to endorse this list before it goes to headquarters.
5. As most of you know, Skip will be with Neil for approximately the next 6 months.
Barry will be taking Skip' s position during this time. Diane will take Barry's
supervisory position, and Beverly will take Diane' s Field Instructor position.
A Part time medic will take Beverly's slot. Since Dave Kitchen is temporarily
out of work there is a need for another field instructor until his return. Con-
tact Barry if you are interested. Besides these temporary changes , Bill Griffin
is now in charge of property control .
6. Anyone interested in a self defense course offered through the Sheriff's Office
should contact Beverly. The course would be held on alternate days to facilitate
our schedules.
7. All the positions in the EMS disciplinary board were filled. Results are:
Full time Representatives - Mark Willis, Dale Ginter, Terry Lichliter
Alternate Representatives - Helen Bryan, Jerry Montgomery, Jim Smith
