OLD BUSINESS:
All outside employement forms have been turned in.
In Immokalee the 510 old room will be painted after all construction
has been completed. A new water system will be installed. A new
shed will house the lawnmover and the other equipment. A rope has
been attached to the garage door so that in the event of a power
outage, the door can be opened manually.
A new 25" console TV and refrigerator with ice-maker has been
purchased for the 507 station.
Golden Gate Fire Department advises that they will supply the paint for
our room, but EMS will have to do the painting. The central air is in
and working great. The window will be repaired. Also, the wall
which held the wall A/C will be paneled by the Golden Gate Fire
Department.
There is a Training Officer position available and anticipted to be
filled by November 1, 1986.
If you encounter any problems with David Lawrence Mental Health
Center during a Baker Act, notify 525.

We will try to get plastic bottle with a pour spout for oil.
Do not order ATF. Memo dated 4/23/86 - you only check ATF if you
see leakage or suspect a problem. Go the motor pool to be added.
The radio in truck 8 is still having problems. Naples Communications
has ordered parts. Also the truck has bugs. Doug suggested that
when the trucks go to motor pool for PM, have them "bug bombed".
(Make sure you have Atropine when you pick the vehicle up. )
There will be wig wags only on staff vehicles, none on the units.
Review your truck and inventory sheets. Set your truck up the way
your rotation wants it and then sheets back in to Sally for a personal
truck list.
North Collier telephone has been repaired. You don't hear them talking
all night long.
There is no mutual aid to Hendry County yet. When we run out of
county (ie; Lee, Hendry,) we are not covered by the Good Samaritan
Act. Doug is working on a mutual aid agreement with Lee and Hendry
Co.
If you go on a Signal 25, be sure to get a run number.
NEW BUSINESS:
Make sure any time you re-certify one of your certifications; ie; EMT,
Paramedic, ACLS, D.L. , CPR, that a new copy is given to the Chief of
Operations to be placed in your personnel file.
We have 4 nominees for Paramedic/EMT of the year award. The
winners will be announced after voting is completed.
The paint job on truck 1 is not even.
A crew member stated that the hot pacs are not working. Doug
Greenfield tried one, and they are working fine.

The HRS State Inspections went great. We passed with flying colors.
Thanks to all crew on/off duty.
We can purchase long sleeve shirts at our own expense. We can also
purchase Tuffy jackets or a long liner for our jackets. Absolutely no
long sleeve shirts are to be worn under a short sleeve shirt.
The Phoneix Award is in the final stages. Our new Training Officer
will follow up on saves.
Beverly Utley and Terry Halberg have resigned their seats on the
Employee Advisory Council. Randy Carrol and Helen Ortega are the
new members. There will be a new election for two alternates.
If ten or more people are interested, the National Registry will
coordiante a test site and date in this area. Doug Greenfield will try
to get the county to pay for the application fee. If you are
interested, see your advisory council representative.
A complete ACLS course has been tentatively set for November 8th and
9th at NCH.
Doug Cameron will pick up equipment left at Lee County hospitals by
our crews. We are also looking into radio communications with Lee
County EMS for 10-56's for equipment return.
Sally is checking into Reeves Litter.
The 507 crews have expressed a concern of the EMT class being noisy
until eleven each night. Teachers stated they will make the class exit
through the front door. Class is scheduled to last until 11:00 each
night.
If you call in sick on a shift swap, the sick time will be charged to
your sick time. Also, make sure if you are obligated to a shift swap
to show up.
We will try to send out employee phone lists with paychecks.

Paul Russo of the Naples Police Department will talk to us for four
hours on legal testimony and depositions relative to your legal rights
and some helpful hints on responding to questions from attorneys.
There is a good possibility that the new truck will be a disel modular
Type III for 505 units. 1,3 and 4 are due for new chasis and
refurbishing in 1987/88 and possibly converted to disels.
There is a possibility of a new north station at Pelican Bay combined
with the Fire Dept. , Sheriff, and Library in the future. We anticipate
a new station for Golden Gate and Marco in years to come. Doug is
unhappy about these stations as far as size and condition at this
time. Golden Gate is the first priority.
There are new evaluation forms for EMS employees. There are weight
factors being applied to each category. The weight factor for each
category is indicated on the form and is the same for all employees.
The across-the-board pay raise October 1 is 4%.
Responses to the Wagon Wheel in Corkscrew will be handled by 505.
It's 2.9 miles closer than 504.
Meeting adjourned at 12:15 PM.
