1 . Collier County isplanning a summer party, Doug would like us to combine
ours with theirs. Any ideas please call ,Diane Brubaker, 774_8464 .
2 . Applications for Supervisory position are now closed. Interviews
will start this week.
3 . Sally and Celeste have resigned. Linda Pollack will be Property
Control Clerk. New Paramedic Ridk
4. Mark and Debbie Lee, asked for a special exception pertaining to
the number of shift swaps allowed tacked on to a vacation, since
Debbie had not accumulated enough V-days to be able to enjoy her
honeymoon. It was decided that, Mark did not have to go alone .
2 more swaps will be allowed.
5. Baby6 transports-try and put the incubator on your stretcher, 10-8
time will be quicker if you don,t have to go back and getyour
stretcher each time.
6 . NCHC still the same old, same old, sending pts . by 10-71 instead
cab, etc. will be brought up again at their next meeting.
7. Medic- Med-Tech Protocol -- there will be some changes before it is
put into service.
8 . I will be getting with,Bill, to close up the ranks on our numbers.
9. IMMOK. Main concern is the needs of the territory Debbie Lichliter,
came up with anew way to try and run calls. Supervisors will
have a memo out for ,May 1st.
10. Overtime Still using old one, more carefully now. There are changes
coming, however. Probably a sign up type.
506- supervisors are back to running emergency calls .
Pagers, 520 looking into getting them for *IgRe'' It would mean
instant recall for disasters ( provided you are in the area of course)
and might alleviate another problem we are having with dispatch.
They can,t seem to hit those emergency buttons .
Speaking of which, the CCSO, has been given total charge of dispatch
now. REMBER^If a call is closer to you, take it. Don,t jump the
gun, either, however. Be aware of what the other units are doing,
we 4(110/tell which unit should be responding quicker than a new
dispatcher. Also 525, may be busy with office work at the moment,
and not realize what,s going on.
11 . State: Trauma Legislature will be coming up soon.
Looking good for Special Risk Retirement Benefits to pass .
Bill may pass that cities could decide their own certificate
of need for service. Could be a problem if, City of Naples ,
had their own EMS. Some revenue would be gone for CCEMS.
12 . Return on your o.k. or denial for v-days, swaps etc. will get
back to you as quickly as possible .
Budget presentation was made with the County. I think were finally
voted to get rid of Truck 6 and keep No. 10 for backup.
Type 3 diesel will be in a few months . Trying for 2 type 3s, and 1
type 2 .
Requests: 501 and 502 silverware
505 soup bowls New stove is in.
Map books to be updated
Have hght. width, and weight of trucks put on the dash.
More holes on backboards near hip area, also need lacquer
on some of them.
Please check your station memo books. Any numbers missing
please call , Jean, and have her give copies to 525 to bring out.
Suction splints have been denied.
some trucks need new PDRs please advise which ones.
Memo on which portables to leave in chargers and which
not too, will be out, as soon as we get expert adY¢ee on same.
Mattresses not in and still shopping for dinette set for city.
trying to figure something out for t.v. reception at 501 also
Gas cards for 501 and 505 have been denied.
Uniforms: 2 shirts and 2 pants each year,stays.
will get new jump suit every 3 years, Doug,
thinking of going to the same reflector strips as
525, has on theirs.
It is my understanding, that Paramedics in the state of Florida,
are no longer able to get their own malpractise insurance.
The insurance companies have decided to drop the entire state.
