Collier County Ordinance No. 99 -22 requires that all lobbyists shall, before engaging in any lobbying activities (including, but not limited to, addressing the Board of County Commissioners) before the Board of County Commissioners and its advisory boards, register with the Clerk to the Board at the Board Minutes and Records Department. 2013 Clam Pass Maintenance Dredging Project Weekly Progress Report March 18th thru March 24th, 2013 Engineer: Humiston and Moore Er, Contractor: Kyle Construction (KC) Original Contract Time: 26 days Time Remaining: 6 days Project Volume Section A: 6,230 cy Project Volume Section B: 6,142 cy Project Volume Section C: 2,578 cy gineers (H &M) Pay Quantities: Non - Compatible Material Total: 210 cy Payment volumes for Sections A, B, and C to be determined. Awaiting survey information from KC. Project Volume Total: 14,950 cy The following tasks were completed during the weeks of Mar. 18th thru Mar. 24th: • The contractor has removed the orange safety fence that was restricting access to the active construction site for safety purposes. • KC removed turbidity curtains near Station 10 +50. • The surveyor completed the post dredging surveys for all the stations. H &M has received, processed and reviewed post dredging surveys from Sta: 0 +00 to 9 +50. H &M is still waiting for portions of preconstruction data from KC for final payment verification. • KC will have a crew sweep through the area north of Clam Pass again to recover any non- compatible material that is found from tilling. Non - compatible material consists of, rock, sticks, trash, and clay /peat. The collected material taken offsite for proper disposal. • H &M submitted the final water quality results to DEP. All measurements taken throughout the entire project were in compliance of 29 NTUs above background. • KC trucked approximately 18 cubic yards of non - compatible material off site on Monday the 18th. H &M observed this process. This material was considered not beach compatible per the guidelines in the DEP approved QA/QC sediment plan. • H &M has collected all of the required sand samples for the QA/QC sediment plan per the DEP permit. Two of the samples are being analyzed by a state registered geotechnical lab for grain size analysis. H &M is awaiting daily reports from the contractor which will be submitted to the state to comply with QC plan. All other conditions have been satisfied of the approved QA/QC plan. • H &M received tide data from Kyle Lukasz and verified the gauges were functioning properly. The tide gauges were re- deployed within 24 -hours and are actively collecting tide data. • A post construction wrap -up meeting was held on Thursday, March 21st, to review the project area and identify the items that needed to be addressed by the contractor for project completion (See Below). _,- 4 The following tasks are anticipated during the week of Mar. 25th thru Mar. 31st: • KC will Restoration of Vanderbilt access point, repaint curb and replace a few pavers. • KC will have a crew sweep through the area north of Clam Pass a second time to recover any non - compatible material that is found from tilling. • KC will remove the any remaining stakes that were used for setting control. • KC will supply the stake log to the Engineer for review and acceptance. • KC will supply the final daily reports to the Engineer. • H &M will review the preconstruction survey, once supplied, and verify requested final pay quantities. • H &M will setup and offer a have post construction meeting onsite with Jennie Cowart of DEP to review the completed project. Ms. Cowart has been kept advised of the status of work throughout the project. • H &M will coordinate with Turrell Hall and Assoc. regarding smoothing ruts on the beach per permit guidelines. Kevin Carter will check with the county regarding the beach rake. • KC will supply a copy of the contract to the engineer for review. • Final payment quantities will be computed and verified once pre construction data is received from KC. • H &M will have a follow up meeting to establish a comprehensive monitoring program for the pass.
