The term of your appointment will be determined at your first regularly scheduled meeting. As with any advisory group, the primary purpose is to assist and advise the Board of County Commissioners. By law, however, the ultimate decisions rest with the Commission. At times, the Commission's decisions may not reflect the recommendation of the advisory group because many facts must be taken into consideration. By copy of this letter, we are requesting Ramiro Mafialich, Chief Assistant County Attorney, to provide you with any additional information you will need as a member of this committee. On behalf of the Board of County Commissioners, I wish to extend our appreciation to you for your willingness to serve the residents of Collier County as a member of this advisory board.
