AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE 82-2,

THE UNINCORPORATED AREA OF COLLIER
COUNTY, FLORIDA BY AMENDING SECTION 7.10
"ESTATES DISTRICT" BY ADDING A NEW
PARAGRAPH (f) TO b2 TO ALLOW FOR TEMPOR'
ARY MOBILE HOMES AND TRAVEL TRAILERS
WHILE A PERMANENT RESIDENCE IS BEING
BUILT; BY PROVIDING FOR EXTENSIONS OF
SAID TEMPORARY USE; AND BY PROVIDING FOR
AN EFFECTIVE DATE,
WHEREAS, the Community Development Division petitioned
the Board of County Commissioners to amend the Zoning Ordi-
nance;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Collier County, Florida:
SECTION ONE:
The Zoning Ordinance 82-2 is hereby amended to read as
follows:
Amend Section 7.10 b2 by adding a new paragraph (f)to
read as follows:
(f) Mobile home, motor home or travel trailer, as
a temporary residence while permanent residence is
being constructed.
Upon issuance of a building permit for the
construction of a permanent residence, the Board
of County Commissioners may approve a permit for
the temporary use of a mobile home, motor home or
travel trailer while the permanent residence is
being constructed.
The duration of such permit shall be for a
maximum period of six (6) months or upon comple-
tion of the permanent residence for which the
building permit was issued, whichever occurs
first.
The temporary permit may be extended by the
Board of County Commissioners upon request of the
permittee two (2) times for a period of time not
greater than three (3) months for each extension.
Prior to approving a permit for the temporary
use of a mobile home, motor home or travel
~ trail~, the Board of County Commissioners shall

~: .~ ('a) The location is sufficiently remote to
. L .. justify a temporary residence on the property
' : ~ in order to prevent looting or damage t~, the
.~' ~,~. permanent residence being constructed.
(b) The location is sufficiently isolated so
as to make temporary residency on the prop-
erty desirable in order to provide immediate
~ p~otection in the event of fire or other
~' = ~ural disaster such as a hurricane.

> . Dir%ctor's recommendation for approval or denial.

'- . Prior to the issuance of a final certificate
of ~ccdPancy for the permanent residence, a mobile
_'~ home, ~he motor home or travel trailer must be
removed from the premises or stored as provided by
law.
SECTION TWO:
This Ordinance shall take effect upon notice that it
has been received by the Secretary of State.
