AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 82-110, SECTION A,
TO PROVIDE THAT THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
SHALL NOT HAVE AUTHORITY TO HIRE OR FIRE DEPARTMENT
HEADS~ PROVIDING SEVERABILITY AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA that:
SECTION ONE. Section A of Ordinance No. 82-110, amending Section
ONE, Subpart K of Ordinance 80-77, is amended to read as follows:
K. Select, employ and supervise all personnel and fill all
vacancies, positions or employment under the juris-
d~ction of the Board. However, the employment of all
d.ivision administrators shall require confirmation by
majority vote of the Board of County Commissioners.
The Board of County Commissioners may by a majority
vote of the entire membership of the Board of County
Commissioners remove from County employment division
administrators, am~-~e~e ~mem~-hea~s=
SECTION TWO. Severability.
In the event this Ordinance conflicts with any other ordin-
ance of Collier County or other applicable law, the more
restrictive shall apply. If any phrase or portion of this
Ordinance is held invalid or unconstitutional by any court of
competent jurisdiction, such portion shall be deemed a separate,
distinct and independent provision and such holding shall not
affect the validity of the remaining portion.

SECTION THREE. Effective Date
This Ordinance shall become effective upon receipt of n~tice
from the Secretary of State that this Ordinance has been filed
with the Secretary of State.
