AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 82-110, SECTION ONE
SUBPART K, TO PROVIDE THAT THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMIS-
SIONERS SHALL NOT HAVE AUTHORITY TO HIRE OR FIRE DIVISION
ADMINISTRATORS; PROVIDING SEVERABILITY A~;D EFFECTIVE DATE.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA that=
SECTION ONE. Section A of Ordinance No. 82-110, amending Section
ONE, Subpart K of Ordinance 80-77, is amended to read as follows:
Se_le~, employ and supervise all personnel and fill all
~ae~cies, positions or employment under the juris-
di~%ion of the Board. However, the employment of all
~=i~ion administrators shall require confirmation by
maJqrity vote of the Board of County Commissioners.
SECTION TWO. Severability.
in the event this Ordinancu cun£iict~ with any other ordin-
ance of Collier County or other applicable law, the more
restrictive shall apply. If any phrase or portion of this
Ordinance is held invalid or unconstitutional by any court of
competent jurisdiction, such portion shall be deemed a separate,
distinct and independent provision and such holding shall not
affect the validity of the remaining portion.

SECTION THREE. Effective Date
This Ordinance shall become effective upon receipt of notice
from the Secretary of State that this Ordinance has been filed
with the Secretary of State.
