Ordinance, Collier County Ordinance 83-46;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMHISSXONERS
OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA~
SECTION ONE:
Ordinance No. 83-46, Berkshire Lakes P.U.D. Document Section 8.02
(F)(s), Hurricane Evacuation, shall be amended to read ae follql4e:
F. Hurricane Evacuation
(a) The applicant shell use a minimum floor elevation

Should these requirements be lessened through regulatory

requirements.

feet per person.
(c) Provisions shall be made in deeds and covenants that temporary
shelter ~or. peraons living in ground level unite shall bm made
in buildings of more than one story; designated refuge apace
shall be locate~ in the interior hallways of upper story
structures or similarly protected areas with protected
opening, leading directly to the exteric~.
(d) On-site shelters shall fulfill the following conditions:

(e) A homeowners' association shall be established to provide
education to residence concerning hurricane evacuation,
shelters, etc.

8ECTION
This Ordinance shall become effective upon notice that it has been
received by the Office of the Secretary of State.
