AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 83-2
WHICH ESTABLISHED THE COLLIER COUNTY
TOURIST DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL AND REPEJLLING
RESOLUTION NO. 84-120 WHICH AUTHORIZED
EXPENDITURES FOR THE COLLIER COUNTY
TOURIST DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL ACTIVITIES;
PROVIDING FOR CONFLICT AND SEVERABILITY;
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the Collier County Tourist Development Council has
recommended and the Board of County Commissioners concurs that
the Collier County Tourist Development Council be dissolved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COmmISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA;
SECTION ONE. Repeal of Ordinance No. 83-2
Ordinance No. 83-2 which established the Collier County
Tourist Development Council and provided for the membership and
responsibilit'ies of the Council is hereby repealed in its
entirety.
SECTION TWO. Repeal of Resolution No. 84-120
Resolution No. 84-120 which authorized the Collier County
Tourist Development Council to expend up to Five Thousand Dollars
($5,000) for expenses incurred in fact-finding and studying the
appropriateness of the tourist development tax in Collier County
is hereby repealed in its entirety.
SECTION THREE: Conflict and Severability
In the event this Ordinance conflicts with any other
ordinance of Colli~ County or other applicable law, the more
restrictive shall apply· If any phrase or portion of thi.
Ordinance is held invalid or unconstitutional by any court of
competent jurisdiction, such portion shall be deemed a separate,
distinct and independent provision and such holding shall not
affect the validity of the remaining portion.
SECTION FOUR. Effective Date
This Ordinance shall become effective upon receipt of notice
from the Secretary of State that this Ordinance has been filed
with the Secretary of State.
