(~HEREAS, The Board of County Commissioners realizes that Immokalea
is a unique co~muutty which has developed specific needs as a result of
its being the hub of agricultural activity within the unincorporated area
of Collier County; and
WIIEREAS, the enforcement of currant Zoning regulations regarding
the parking of commercial vehicles in residential districts causes undue
hardship on many of the residents of Immokalee who are involved in the
agricultural business; and
W~EREAS, the Planning Department will begin the implementation of
the Immokalee Master Plan in February, 1987; and .,
WHEREAS, the first work task for the implementation of the Immokalee
Master Plan is to resolve the conflict between the Job related needs of
the resideqgs and the regulations for the parking of. commercial vehicles;
and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners realize that this first
work task scheduled to begin in February, 1987 is not expected to be
completed before August i, 1987;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of County Commissioners
of Collier County, Florida:
SECTION ONE:
A moratorium is hereby declared until August 1, 1987 on the
enforcement of Ordinance 82-2, the Comprehensive Zoning Regulations
for the Unincorporated Area of Collier County, Section 8.51, Parking of
Commercial Vehicles or Commercial Equipment in P. MF-6, HItSD and l/HEP
Districts, in the Immokalee area as outlined ih Exhibit A, attached
hereto, and by reference incorporated herein.
SECTION TWO:
All violations shall be corrected and brought into conformance with
any zoning standards established by the Board of County Commissioners
after August 1, 1987. No non-conforming status or. other vesting tights
shall accrue to any individual based upon the zoning enfbrcement
moratorium set forth above.
SECTION THREE:

This Ordinance shall become effective upon receipt of notice
it has been filed srith the Secretary of State.
