TREE UNITS 1-4 STREET LIGHTING MUNICIPAL SERVICE
TAXING UNIT; PROVIDING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE
UNIT; DESIGNATING THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE UNIT!
PROVIDING FOR PURPOSE AND POWERS/ PROVIDING FOR
ANNUAL ESTI~ATES OF EXPENSES AND TAXATION RATEI
PROVIDING FOR TAX ASSESSMENT AND COLLECTION;
PROVIDING FOR CONSTRUCTIONI DECLARING AN
~. EMERGENCY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
COLLIER COUNTY, FLORZDAI
Section One=
Street Lighting Municipal Service Taxint
Unit Created~ Boundaries.
Pursuant to Chapter 125 of the Florida Statutes, the
Orangetrea Units 1-4 Street Lighting Municipal Service Taxing
Unit is hereby created for the purpose of providing street
lighting to the residents of the taxing unit, the boundaries of
which are hereinafter described~
All of Orangetree Unit 1 as recorded in Plat Book 14, Pages
92-93, inclusive, of the Public Records of Collier County,
Florida; all being a part of Section 23, Township 48 South,
Range 27 East, Collier County, Florida, containing 17.04
acres more or less; and
All of Orangetree Unit 2 as recorded in Plat Book 14, Page
113 of the Public Records of Collier County, Florida~ all
being a part of Section 23, Township 48 South, Range 27
East, Collier County, Florida, containing 15.58 acres more
or less; and
All of Orangetree Unit 3 as recorded in Plat Book 14, Page
121 of the Public Records of Collier County, Florida; all
being a part of Section 23, Township 48 South, Range 27
East, Collier County, Florida, containing 46.01 acres more
or less; and
All of Orangetree Unit 4 as recorded in Plat Book 14, Page
124-125, inclusive, of the Public Records of Collier County,
Florida; all being a part of Section 23, Township 48 South,
Range 27 East, Collier County, Florida, containing 39.02
acres more or less; and
Section '~o: Governint Body.
' The governing body of the Unit shall be ex-officio _~_e Board
of County Commissioners of Collier County, Florida. ~ ~ __
Section Three~ Purpose~ Powers. ~ ru
lighting In the above-described s~lvision and to ~at~ ~~

provide such services, including ownership or rental of p=oJ~ty,
~oles, wires, conduits, lights, meters, and the power to maintain
the same and to enter into contracts for providing the same and
the electric current to operate any lighting system therein
installed.
Section Four~ Annual Estimates o~ Ex~ensesl Taxation Rate.
For the purpose of implementing this Ordinance, the Board of
County Co~missioners shall annually, at the time required by
general budgetary law, make an itemized estJ~aate of the amount of
~oney required to carry out the business of the Unit for the next
fiscal year, which shall be from October ! to and including
September 30 following. The estimate shall have for what purpose
the moneys are required and the amount necessary to be raised by
taxation within the Unit. At the time and place for fixing the
annual rate of taxation for County purposes, the Board shall fix
and cause to be levied on all property within the Unit subject to
taxation a millage sufficient to meet the requirements of the
estimatel provided, however, the total ~Lllage shall not exceea
the millage authorized by law for municipal service taxing
benefit units.
Section Five] Tax Assessment and Collection.
Taxes herein provided for shall be assessed and collected ~n
the same manner and form as provided for the assessment
collection of general County taxes and subject to the same fees
for assessing and collecting as general County taxes.
Section Six~ Construction.
This Ordinance shall be liberally construed to effectuate
its public purpose.
Section Seven~ ~eclaration o~ Emergency.
This Board does hereby declare that an emergency exists and
that immediate enactment of this Ordinance is necessary, and by
no less than four-fifths (4/Sths) vote of the membership of the
Board does hereby waive notice of intent to conside~ this
Ordinance.
:ion Eight= Effective Date.
A cert£f£ed copy of this Ordinance~ aa snacted~ shall be
~iled by the Clerk of the Board vith the Department o£ Stall of
the State of Florida, as soon after enactment as is practicable
by depositing the same vith the postal authorities o£ the
government of the United States for special delivery b~
registered ~all, postage prepaid, to the Florida Departamnt o£
State.
This Ordinance shall become a£fectiVe as provided in Section
125.66(3), Florida Statutes.
