WHERE~s, the current Growth Management Plan, adopted by the
Board of County Commissioners provides for pres~.rvation and
conservation of native habitat communities; and
WHEREAS, many exotic species have been detez~ined to be
harmful to the County's native species habitats; and
WHEREAS, Policy 6.4.3 in the Conservation and Coastal
Management Element of the current Growth Management Plan red, ire?

Removal 6f Exotics: It shall be unlawful for any person,
developer, organization, society or association , except as
hereinafter exempted or excepted, to improve any lands
without first removing any and all "exotics" occupying such
lands.

In the event this ordinance conflicts with any other

restrictive shall apply. If any phrase or portion of the
Ordinance is held invalid or unconstitutional by any court of
competent jurisdiction, such portion shall be deemed a separate,
distinct and independent provision and such holding shall not
effect the validity of the remaining portion.
SECTION THREE: Effective Date:
This Ordinance shall become effective upon receipt of notice
from the Secretary of Skate that this Ordinance has been filed
with the Secretary of State,
