SPECIAL TREATMENT DEVELOPMENT PERIHT TO
ALLOW EXPANSION OF EXISTING FACILITIES otlTO
A POR'rION OF THE PROPERTY WITH A SPECIAL
TREATMENT (ST) OVERLAY HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED
IN COLLIER COUlITY, FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, the Legislature of the State of Florida in Chapter 125,
Florida Statutes, has conferred on all counties in Florida the power to
establish, coordinate and enforce zoning and such business regulations
as are necessary for the protection of the publ ic hea 1 th, safety and
welfare; and
WHEREAS, the County pursuant thereto has adopted Ordinance No.
91-102, as amended which establishes regulations for the zoning of
particular geographic divisions of the County; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners, being the duly elected
constituted board of the area hereby affected, has held a public
hearing after notice as in said regulations made and provided, and has
considered the advisability of allowing the expansion of existing
facilities including a new activity building, olympic pool, and
expanded parking lot as shown on the attached plot plan, Exhibit "A",
in a CF/ST - Community Facility/Special Treatment - zoning district
for the property hereinafter described, and has found as a matter of
fact that satisfactory provision and arrangement has been made

WHEREAS, all interested parties have been given opportunity to be
heard by this Board in public meeting assembled and the Board having
considered all matters presented.
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS of Collier County, Florida, that the Petition ST-94-1
tiled by DominicI< J. Amico, Jr., representing the YMCA of Collier
County, with respect to the property more particularly described as:

PLANNING:
1. The preserve parcel shall be surveyed. and a conservation easement
or protective covenants shall be recorded in the public records
of Collier County, prior to fiQal sit~ development plan approval.
2. Submit a management plan pursuant to Collier County Land
Development Code section 3.9.5.3 prior to final site development
plan approval. The plan shall include semiannual exotic
vegetation maintenance, and a littoral zone planting plan for
approximately 450' of lake littoral zone adjacent to the
preserve.
3. A spreader swale shall be constructed to pre-treat stormwater
runoff directed to the preserve and which minimizes impact to
preserve. The swale shall be sodded, however, the Preserve
Maintenance Plan (See Stipulation #2) shall include provisions to
monitor the extent of the sod and prevent its encroachment into
the rest of the preserve.
4. Permits or letters of exemption from U. S. Army Corps of
Engineers (ACOE), Florida Department of Environmental Protection
(FDEP) and South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) shall
be submitted prior to final site development plan approval.
