TO REGULATE SIGNAGE IN SAID DISTRICT IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE COLLIER COUNTY SIGN ORDINANCE NO 89-60; DELETING SIGN DEFINITIONS FROM SECTION 20, DEFINITIONS; BY PROVIDING FOR CONFLICT AND SEVERABILITY; AND BY PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, Chapter 125, Florida Statutes, establishes the right and power of counties to provide for the health, welfare and safety of existing and future residents by enacting and eniorcing zoning and business regulations necessary for the protection of and public; and WlqEREAS, the Section 8.31 of Ordinance Number 82-2, the Comprlhansiv$ Zoning Rogulatlonm for Collier County, was repealed in its entirety by Ordinance Number 89-60, the Collier County Sign Ordinance, on August 22, 1989; and WHEREAS, the development standards of the herein enumerated sections of Ordinance Number 82-2, the Collier County zoning Ordinance, contain references to repealed Section 8.31 thereof and definitions pertinent to sign ordinances; and WHEREAS, the dsfinitions pertaining to sign ordinances now appear in said Ordinance Number 89-60, the newly adopted Words-s~eR-th~e~h are deleted; words ~]l~lined are added.
