RESOLUTION NO. 20IO-~
A RESOLUTION BY THE COLLIER COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS AUTHORIZING THE FILING AND EXECUTION OF
APPLICATIONS WITH THE FEDERAL TRANSIT ADMINISTRATION;
PROVIDING FOR ANNUAL CERTIFICATIONS AND ASSURANCES;
PROVIDING FOR AUTHORIZATION TO EXECUTE GRANT AND
COOPERATIVE AGREEMENTS; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Collier County is the governing
body in and for Collier County, Florida, a political subdivision of the State of Florida; and
WHEREAS, the Federal Transportation Administrator has been delegated authority to
award federal financial assistance for a transportation project; and
WHEREAS, grant and/or cooperative agreements for federal financial assistance will
impose certain obligations upon Collier County, the applicant, and may require Collier
County to fund the local share of project costs; and
WHEREAS, Collier County, the applicant, has or will provide all annual certifications
and assurances to the Federal Transit Administration required for projects.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners,
Collier County, Florida, that:
]. Authorization to Execute and File Applications. The Chair or the Board's
designee is authorized to execute, file and manage grants, on behalf of Collier
County, for federal assistance with the Federal Transit Administration for federal
assistance authorized by 49 U.S.C. S 5307 and Title 23 of the United States Code, or
other federal statutes authorizing projects administered by the Federal Transit
Administration.
2. Annual Certifications and Assurances. The Chair or the Board's designee is
authorized to execute and file with its application the annual certification and
assurances, and other documents the Federal Transit Administration requires before
awarding a federal assistance grant or cooperative agreement.
3. Authorization to Execute Grant and Cooperative A2reements. The Chair or the
Board's designee is authorized to execute grant and cooperative agreements with the
Federal Transit Administration on behalf of Collier County, Florida, following the
Board's review and approval.
4. Effective Date of Resolution. This Resolution adopted after motion, second
and majority vote favoring same, this 23rd day of March, 2010.
