FIVE PERCENT (5%) OF THE UNPAID BALANCE; PROVIDING
FOR CONFLICT AND SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING AN

.~? WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Collier County,
:~i~ Florida, as the Governing Body of Collier County and as Ex-Officio
:F~'~":,.::.. the Governing Board of the Collier County Water-Sewer District,
· has met to consider revisions to the rates, fees and charges for
~..: the water and sewer ~ervices provided by the County water system
:';: and the County sanitary sewer system; and
.~q;.[ WHEREAS, staff has recommended that certain water and sewer
.%... user charges be revised to bring those charges in line with the
~,:.:. actual cost of providing the respective services; and
:::' WHEREAS, the meter tapping charges as adopted by Ordinance
No. 86-67, as amended, shall remain at the same rates and are
'i: hereby confirmed; and
!, WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners desires to adopt
, those charges as recommended by staff and and the County's

SECTION ONE: Amendments to Section Five of Collier County
Ordinanoe No. 86-67, as amended.
Section Five of Collier County ordinance No. 86-67, as
amended, is hereby amended to read as follows:
SECTION FIVE: Meters; Tapping Charges; Miscellaneous.
A. Meter tapping charges shall be as follows:

B. For meters larger than two (2) inches, the tapping
charge shall be based on the cost of the meter. The materials

meters shall be furnished by the developer in accordance with
County re~uirements and specifications and dedicated

C. All nccc==&ry meters 2 inches or smalle~ will be
furnished by the County and shall remain the property of the
County.
D. Meters must be left accessible to County employees at
all times.
E. When any customer, who has a water meter, makes
application to the Utility Division for the installation of a
larger meter to replace his smaller meter, he shall be given no
credit for the tapping charges paid on the smaller meter in
accordance with the above schedule. There shall be no refunds
or credits given to any customer requesting a smaller meter.
F. Fees and procedures for the installation of temporary
meters may be established by resolution.

restrictive shall apply. If any phrase or portion of this
Ordinance is held invalid or unconstitutional by any court of
competent Jurisdiction, such portion shall be deemed separate,
distinct end independent provision and such holding shall not
affect the validity of the remaining portion.
SECTION THREE: Effective Date.
This Ordinance shall become effective upon receipt of notice
from the Secretary of State that this Ordinance has been filed
with the Secretary of State.
