WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners on June 4, 1996
directed the County Attorney to prepare the necessary amendments
to Collier Cohnty Ordinance No. 87-78 to change the name of the
Advisory Committee to the Golden Gate Beautification Advisory
Committee to be consistent with Collier County Ordinance No.
83-55, as amended.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that:
SECTION ONE: Amendments to Section One of Collier County Ordinance 87-78.
Section One of Collier County Ordinance No. 87-78 is hereby
amended to read as follows:
Section One: Confirm the Creation of the Golden Gate
Beautification Advisory Committee.
This Ordinance is enacted pursuant to Ordinance No. 86-41, as
~mended, to confirm the creation of the Golden Gate
Beautification Advisory Committee, hereinafter referred to as
the "Committee".
SECTION TWO: Amendments to Section Two of Collier County Ordinance No. 87-78.
Section Two of Collier County Ordinance No. 87-78 is hereby
amended to read as follows:
Section Two: Appointment and Composition.
The Committee shall consist of five (5) members which
representation shall consist of with one (1) member from each
of the five (5) voting precincts which are located within the
Unit.
Members of the Committee shall be appointed by and serve
at the pleasure of the Board of County Commissioners. Said

members shall be residents and electors within the boundaries
of the Golden Gate ~ Beautification Municipal Service
Taxing Unit (hereinafter referred to as "Unit").
Appointment of members to the Committee shall be by
resolution of the Board of County Commissioners, which
resolution shall set forth the date of appointment, the term
of office and the voting precinct the member resides within.
SECTION THREE: Conflict and Severability.
In the event this Ordinance conflicts with any other
ordinance of Collier County or other applicable law, the more
restrictive shall apply. If any phrase or portion of this
Ordinance is held invalid or unconstitutional by any court of
competent Jurisdiction, such portion shall be deemed a separate,
distinct and independent provision and such holding shall not
affect the validity of the remaining portion.
SECTION FOUR: Inclusion in the Code of Laws and Ordinances.
The provisions of this Ordinance shall become and be made a
part of the Code of Laws and Ordinances of Collier County,
Florida. The sections of the Ordinance may be tenumbered or
relettered to accomplish such, and the word "ordinance" may be
changed to "section", "article", or any other appropriate word.
SECTION FIVE: Effective Date.
This Ordinance shall become effective upon filing this
Ordinance with the Department of State.
