WHEREAS, t'le Board of County Commissioners of Collier County,
Florida, (her' inafter referred to as COUNTY) established the
Pelican Bay Municipal Services Taxing and Benef :.t Unit for the
purpose of pro riding water man~gement operations and maintenance,
beautification of recreation 11 facilities and median areas,
maintenance of ccnservation or preserve areaSj an I

preserve areas through the levy of a special af ;essment (non-ad

Said properties are located w thin the boundarie of the Pelican
Bay Municipal Services Tax ng and Benefit t:nit which are
described herein; and
WHEREAS, Section 197.3632, Florida statut~s, provides a
uniform method of collecting such assessments ,nd said section
requires that the COUNTY adop: a resolution at
public hearing

WHEREAS, Section 197.3632, Florida statutes, also requires
that the COUNT" publish notice of its intent to use the uniform
method of colI, cting such non' ad valorem assessm.,mts weekly in a
newspaper of general circulat on within each county contained in
the boundaries of the Pelicar. Bay Municipal Ta,'ing and Benefit
unit for four consecutive weeks prior to the hearLngj and

the same as the lands encompassed by the Pel ican Bay
Improvemer t District, the perimeter boundary of same

states mail to the Collier (ounty Property Apprciser, the Collier

County Tax Collector, and the state of Floc ida Department of
Revenue by January 10, 1996.
3. It is anticipated that the non-ad valorem assessments for
water management operations and maintenance, beautif ication of
recreational
facilities
median
maintenance
of

of one year.
