RESOLUTION NO. 95-~8
RESOLUTION SUPERSEDING RESOLUTION NO. 94-707 AND
ESTABLISHING THE FEES TO BE CHARCED FOR USE
OF COUNTY SOLID WASTE FACILITIES PURSUANT TO
COLLIER COUNTY ORDINANCE NO. 84-31.
WHEREAS, the Board of County commissioners through County Ordinance No.
84-31 has implemented the user fee sY9tem for solid wa8te to all public and
private users.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVE~ BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
COLLIER COUNTY, FLOP IDA, that
SECTION 1: Resolution No. 94-107 is hereby superseded in its entirety.
SECTION 2. The foll~ing fee 8chedule i8 approved for all U8ers of the Collier
County Solid Waste facilities:
Landfill Fees:
All fees are based on actual cE~tified scale weight, i.r cubic yard fee,
or per tire fee. N~ rounding.
Mixed loads of biomass (land cl<taring, plant trimmings' and gra.s
cutting) and other waste shall not be a~cepted.
General Wa8tes:
$25.00/ton.
Special Wastlls:
$20.00/ton for Con8truction/DemolitionJebris.
$25.00/ton for tires cut into 8 equal; .eces.
$8S.00/ton for whole tire..
Car or truck tire8: $4.00/tire 16" or larger size.
Car or truck tires: $1.00/tire 15" or smaller size.
Large tractor or heavy equipment tires ~n per ton basis only.
$13.S0/ton for Biomal'.s.
$6.75/ton for proces8ed Biomass 2" min J in size.
No charge for clean fill material suitable as daily cover les8 than 6 inches in
8ize.
NaDles Landfill:
$4.00/ton for clean material 8uitable : ~r use as backfill greater than 6 inches
in size.
Additions to Rate Resolution:
The following additions are pursuant to the Landfill Operation Agreement
with Waste Management, Inc. of Florida:
SDecial Waste Cateoorv I - Difficult to handle material that require
pre-acceptance site preparation (example: asbestos, ash, powdery materials)
$l2S.00/incident plus 2 times applicable base rate.
Scecial Waste Cateoorv II - Waste requiring special acceptance procedures but no
special site prepara~ion. Two times applicable base rate except sludge @
$2S.00/ton for Collier County UtilitieB.
Scecial Waste Cateo~:v III - Wastes that are prohibited by law or regulation tor
the Landfill, but ar~ deposited at Landfill working area and must be removed by
contractor (example: whole tires, ,.,hit goods, lead acid batt'lries)
$lO.OO/item.
Additional Modification to Rate Resolut ~
At the Immokalee Landfill the rte for clean inert mat'Jrials greater
than six inches in size will be changed from no charge to S4.00 per ton making
it the same as the Naple. Landfill and con.istent with the agreement with the
landfill operator.
The extra charge for weekly yar waste pickup .et at t.e time monthly
yard waste collection was implemented i deleted as all yard ~aste is now picked
up weekly at no extra charge.
The punch car~ system to supplem~nt the monthly residential yard waste
program is deleted as the weekly yard ~aste service negates th.' need for this
system.
Transfer Station Fees:
S4.25/use/automobiles and station wagol both full-size and c""pacts (less than
1/2 cubic yard).
sa. SO/cubic yard/trucks, trailers, vans (volume rounded to nearest yard) (more
than 1/2 cubic yard).
Car or truck tires: J4.00/tire 16" or arger rim size.
Car or truck tires. S1.00/tire 15" or maller rim size.
