Resolution 1994-468 RESOLUTION NO. 94- 46A A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FINDINGS AND ASSURANCES TO THE DIVISION OF ELECTIONS REGARDING COUNTY'S PURCHASE OF EQUIPMENT TO UPGRADE ITS BALLOT TABULATION SYSTEM JURE 28, 1994 WHEREAS, Collier County must upgrade its current ballot tabulation system to comply with current Florida statutes and standards; and WHEREAS, Florida Administrative Code Rule 1S-2.007 requires county commissioners to provide written formal assurances of Elections Code compliance requirements to the Division of Elections before receiving purchase approval. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, at regular meeting assembled this 28th day of June, 1994 that the following assurances are made: 1. Facilities are available within the County to tabulate and ascertain elections results to be counted with the Fidlar , Chamber. networked microprocessor system. 2. The County will receive from Fidlar , Chambers Company a detailed planning and procedure manual prepared by the firm exclusively for the programming and electronic tabulation of ballots for the system upgrade. 3. Collier County assures that Fidlar & Chambers Company will provide expertise and personnel to assist and train county elections officials in the Use of the system upgrade. ". The system upgrade of the Fidlar & C~lambers Company aicroprocessing ballot tabulation system is effectuated to enhance existing ballot tabulation equipment security, to conform to the State's present standards and will not adversely affect the County's ability to comply with Florida Statutes. 5. The County's existing ballot tabulation system will be upgraded to Fidlar , Chambers Company; Election Management System, Version 1.1; Ballot TabUlation, Version ".3. 6MR; and Front End Processor, Version 5.0 as certified by the Division of Elections, Department of state, state of Florida, June 17, 1994. ~DDK 000 PAGt 210 . 1994 6. Upon adoption, the Supervisor of Elections shall forward a copy of this Resolution to the Florida Department of state, Division of Elections.
