A RESOLt1I'ION AUTHORIZING THE ACQUISITION OF LAND
IN FEE SIMPLE FOR THE ROAD RIGHT-OF-WAY FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF THE ROADWAY SIX-LANING OF GOLDEN
GATE PARKWAY FROM GOODLETl'E-FRAHX ROAD TO AIRPORT-
POLLING ROAD INCLUDING THE INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS
AT GOLDEN GATE PARl<WAY AND GOODLE'l'TE-FRANX ROAD AND
THE INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS AT GOLDEN GATE PARKWAY AND
AIRPORT-PULLING ROAD.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners on October 26,
1993 adopted Ordinanc. No. 93-78 and Resolution No. 93-493
.stablishing the 1993 (Fifth Annual) capital Improvement Element
of the Growth Manage.ent Plan in order to establish priorities for
the desiqn, acquisition and construction of the various capital
iaprov..ent projects which comprise the Transportation Element of

the County's Coaprehen.ive Plan; and
WHEREAS, the six-laning improvement. to Golden Gate Parkway
.
froa COOdlette-lrank Road to Airport-Pulling Road including the
inter..ction iaprovement. at Golden Gat. Parkway and
COOdlette-Frank Road and the intersection improvement. at Golden
Gate Parkway and Airport-Pulling Road component parts of the
Transportation Ele.ent of the County's Comprehensive Plan: and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commis.ioners on June 29, 1993
adopted a.solution No. 93-261 authorizing the County Staft to
acquire by gift or purcha.e certain ea....nt. and f.e .impl. title
to the property and property interests required and necessary for
the .ix-lane con.truction of Golden Gate Parkway from
Coodlette-Frank Road to Airport-Pulling Road: and
WHEREAS, the County Staff has evaluate~ alternative
locations, review.d the environ.ental factol's, considered the cost
variables, and analyzed the .afety and welfare considerations as
they relate to the con.truction of the siX-lane improvement. for
Golden Gate Parkway from Goodlette-Frank Road to Airport-pulling
Road, including the intersection improvements at Golden Gate
Parkway and Goodlette-Frank Road and the inter.ection improvements
at Golden Gate Parkway and Airport-Pulling Road; and
WHEREAS, the County Staff has recommended that it is

naceasary and in the best interest of Collier County, Florida, to
acquire all of the road right-of-way required and necessary for
the construction of the six-laning of Golden Gate Parkway from
COOdlette-Frank Road to Airport-Pulling Road, including the
intersection iaprovements at Golden Gate Parkway and
Goodlette-lrank Road and the inter.ection improve.ents at Golden
Cate Parkway and Airport-Pulling Road in fee simple; and
WHEREAS, the construction of the six-Ianing of Golden Gate
Parkway from Goodlette-Frank Road to Airport-Pulling Road and the
intersection iaprove.ents is necessary in order to protect the
health, safety and welfare of the citizens of Collier County and
is in the best interest of Collier County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that it has been
determined by the Board that the construction of the six-Ianing of
Golden Gate Parkway from Goodlette-Frank Road to Airport-Pulling
Road and the intersection improvements at Golden Gate Parkway and
Goodlette-Frank Road and the intersection improvements at Golden
Gate Parkway and Airport-Pulling Road (hereinatter referred to as
-the Project-) is necessary tor a public purpose and is in the
best interests of Collier County.
AND IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board reviewed the Staff
analysis regarding alternative locations, environmental factors,
cost variables, satety and welfare considerations as they relate
to the construction of the Project And finds that the most
feasible locations for the additional road right-Of-way are
identified as Parcel Nos. 110A, 110B, 110C, 111 and 112, more
particularly described in Exhibit -A- attached hereto and
incorporated herein; and
AND IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that to imple.ent said
construction of the Project it is appropriate and necessary tor
the Board to acquire tee simple title in the lands identified as
Parcel Nos. 110A, 110B, 110C, 111 and 112, being more particularly

described in Exhibit -A-, attached hereto and incorporated herein,
to be u.ad as road right-of-way for the construction of the
six-lane improv..ents to Golden Gate Parkway from Goodlette-Frank
Road to Airport-Pulling Road, inclUding intersection improvements
at Golden Cate Parkway and Goodlette-Frank Road and Golden Gate
Parkway and Airport-Pulling Road.
ARD IT IS tuKTHER RESOLVED that the County staff is hereby
authorized to i..ediately acquire by gitt, purchase or
condeanation in accordance with the provisions of Chapters 73, 74
and 127, Flori~a statutes, fee simple title to the property
identified as Parcel Nos. 110A, 110B, 110C, 111 and 112 and being
mere particularly described'in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and
incorporated herein.
AND IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that no .obile homes are located
on the property sought to be acquired and therefore it will not be
necessary to remove any mobile homes from the property to be
acquired.
