\/HEREAS, an engineering study by the Collier County Transportation
Department has indicated that excessive through tr<!ffic is nat compatible .....ith
the existing road conditions and road usage along road.....ays .....ithin the Pine Ridge
Subdivision kno-...rn as East Ave., Caribbean Ct., Ridge Dr,. Center St., Caj eput
Dr., Myrtle Rd., Banyan Rd., Sand Pine Dr., Hickory Rd., and Carica Rd. since the
streets are .",.ithin a fully developed, residential area and both the pavement
width and the right-of..",.ay 'oIidth are not conducive to through t::-uck traffic;
accordingly the Collier County Transportation Department recommends that such
through truck traffic be prohibited.
NOTJ, UI.EREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COM.'1ISStONERS OF
COLLIER COUNTY, FlDRIDA, that the Board of County Commissioners does hereby
prohibit the operation of trucks and other commercial vehicles having a total
vehicular weight including the load in excess of five (5) tons from through
movements on road.....ays ....ithin the Pine Ridge Subdivision kno'..rn as East Ave.,
Caribbean Ct" Ridge Dr., Center St., Cajeput Dr,. Myrtle Rd., Banyan Rd.. Sand
Pine Dr., Hickory Rd.. ani Carica Rd. and does hereby direct the County
Transportation Department to erect signs givin~ notice thereof.
BE IT F11RTIiER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be for....ardcd to the
Collier County Sheriff for proper enforcement of this prohibition under Collier
County Ordinance No. 8)-)5.
