RESOLUTION NO. 95- 206
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARO OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA,
SUPPORTING THE PASSAGE OF HOUSE BILL 1693
RELATING TO PARTIAL-YEAR ASSESSMENTS OF
AD-VALOREM TAXES ON REAL PROPERTY BUT OPPOSING
THOSE PROVISIONS OF HOUSE BILL 1693 RELATING
TO PARTIAL-YEAR ASSESSMENTS OF TANGIBLE
PERSONAL PROPERTY TAXES.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Collier County,
Florida, has determined that it is in the best interests of the
citizens of Collier County, Florida, to ensure that all real
property owners within Collier County pay ad valorem taxes on
property that is or can be used for the purpose for which it was
constructed or acquired; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Collier County,
Florida, supports the passage of House Bill 1693 that provides for
the amendment of applicable chapters of the Florida Statutes to
provide for partial-year assessments of ad valorem taxes on real
property; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Collier County,
Florida, opposes the provisions of House Bill 1693 that relate to
the amendment of certain chapters of the Florida Statutes to
provide for partial year assessments of tangible personal
property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARO OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that:
1) The Board supports and requests that the Legislature,
during the 1995 Legislative Session, enact that part of House Bill
1693 relating to a requirement for partial-year assessments of
ad-valorem taxes on real property.
2) The Board opposes the passage of that part of House Bill
1693 relating to any requirement for partial-year assessments of
tangible personal property taxes.
3) A certified copy of this Resolution is to be sent to the

Collier County Legislative Delegation.
