RESOLUTION NO. 97- 289
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY
ADMINISTRATOR, THE COUNTY SOCIAL SERVICES
DIRECTOR AND/OR THEIR DESIGNEES TO EXECUTE
THE STATE OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF ELDER
AFFAIRS REFERRAL AGREEMENTS.
WHEREAS, the State of Florida Department of Elder Affairs requires Collier County
SociaVSenior Services to cnter into referral agreements with Collier County acting as a case
management agency for service provider agencies from the community; and
WHEREAS, there arc multiple service provider agencies; and
WHEREAS, there is no financial involvement by Collier County with the service
providp;.T agencies; and
WHEREAS, these SLte mandated referral agreements do not entail numbers of service
units nor dollars of service to be purchased but, rather, they are required dC'cumcntation of
service providers within the Collier County service area; and
WHEREAS, it is the intent of this Resolution to avoid the need for repeated future Board
of County Commissioners' approvals for said referral agreements where said agreements do not
financially obligate the County and arc merely lists of recognized service providers.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that:
I. The County Administrator and/or his designee and/or the County Social Services
Administrator and/or hislher designee are hereby authorized to execute the State of Florida
Department of Elder Affairs Referral Agreements provided that no payments by Collier County
to a service provider agency are required by said agreements.
