RESOLUTI0N NO. 96-~
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA,
SETTING FORTH ITS INTENT TO USE THE UNIFORM
METHOD OF COLLECTING NON-AD VALOREM ASSESSMENTS
FOR THE STORMWATER DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS WITHIN
THE NAPLES PARK AREA DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS
MUNICIPAL SERVICE BENEFIT UNIT.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Collier County,
Florida, (hereinafter referred to as "County") established the
Naples Park Area Drainage Improvements Municipal Service Benefit
Unit for the purpose of providing stormwater drainage improvements
within the Unit; and
WHEREAS, the County intends to finance the stormwater
drainage improvements through the levy of a special assessment
(non-ad valorem assessment) to those properties benefited by the
project. Said properties are located within the boundaries of the
Naples Park Area Drainage Improvements Municipal Service Benefit
Unit which are described herein; and
WHEREAS, Section 197.3632, Florida Statutes, provides a
uniform method of collecting such assessments and said Section
requires that tho County adopt a resolution at a public hearing
prior to January 1 stating its intent to use the uniform method of
collecting such non-ad valorem assessments; and
WHEREAS, Section 197.3632, Florida Statutes, also requires
that the County publish notice of its intent to use the unifora
method of collecting such non-ad valorem assessments weekly in a
newspaper of general circulation within each county contained in
the boundaries of the Naples Park Area Drainage Improvements
Municipal Service Benefit Unit for four consecutive weeks prior to
the hearing; and
WHEREAS, the County has published the required notices.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that:
Section One. The non-ad valorem assessments levied for the
stormwater drainage improvements against the properties within

the Naples Park Area Drainage Improvements Municipal service
Benefit Unit which is more particularly described as:
All those certain lands lying within portions of
Sections 28 and 33, Township 48 South, Range 25 East,
Collier County, Florida, and being further described as
follows, all of;
Unit No.1, Naples Park as recorded in Plat Book 1, Page
106 and;
Subdivision of Block 1, Unit No.1, Naples Park, as
recorded in Plat Book 4, Page 5 and;
Replat of Blocks 4 & 5, Unit No.1, Naples Park, as
recorded in Plat Book 4, Page 6 and;
Unit No.2, Naples Park as recorded in Plat Book 2, Page
107 and;
Unit NO.3, Naples Park as recorded in Plat Book 3, Page
5 and:
Unit No.4, Naples Park as recorded in Plat Book 3, Page
7 and:
Unit No.5, Naples Park as recorded in Plat Book 3, Page
14 and;
Unit No.6, Naples Park as recorded in Plat Book 3, Page
15 and;
Coventry Square as recorded in Plat Book 23, Page 65-66;
together with all those certain lands lying within
Section 33, Township 48 South, Range 25 East, being
bounded on the;
North by the South right-of-way line of 91st Avenue;
South by the North right-of-way line of Vanderbilt Beach
Road;
East by the West right-of-way line of U.S. 41, N.
Tamiami Trail;
West by the East right-of-way line of Vanderbilt Drive;
may be collected utilizing the uniform method for collecting such
non-ad valorem assessments as provided in Section 197.3632,
Florida Statutes.
Section Two. A certified copy of the Resolution shall be
mailed by United States mail to the Collier County Property
Appraiser, the Collier County Tax Collector, and the State of
Florida Department of Revenue by January 10, 1997.

section Three. It is anticipated that the non-ad valorem
assessments for the stormwater drainage improvements within the
Naples Park Area Drainage Improvements Municipal Service Benefit
Unit shall be collected over a period of fifteen (15) years.

Notice is hereby given that the Board of County commissioners
of Collier County, Florida, will meet on Tuesday, December 10,
1996 at 9:00 o'clock A.M., at the Board of County CommIssioners'
Meeting Room, Third Floor, Administration Building, collier County
Government center, 3301 East Tamiami Trail, Naples, Florida 34112,
pursuant to section 197.3632(3)(a), Florida statutes, for the
purpose of hearing objections, if any, of all interested persons
to the adoption of a Resolution setting forth its intent to use
the Uniform Method of Collectinq non-ad valorem special
a..essmenta to be levied against the benefited properties within
the Naples Park Area Drainage Improvements Municipal service
Benefit Unit. The proposed Resolution of intent to use the
uniform method of collecting the special assessments as non-ad
valorem assessments against the benefited properties within the
Naples Park Area Drainage Improvements Municipal service Benefit
Unit is on file in the Clerk to the Board'. Offic., Fourth Ploor,
Administration Building, Collier County Government Center, 3301
East Tamiami Trail, Naples, Florida 34112, and the Collier County
Stormwater Management Offices of the Public Works Division,
Collier County Government Center, Health and Community Service.
Building, (Building "H"), Third Floor, 3301 East Tamiami Trail,
Naples, Florida 34112, and is available for public inspection.
All interested persons are invited to attend and be heard at the
public hearing.
Any person who decides to appeal a decision of the Board will

need a record ot the proceedings pertaining thereto and therefore
may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is
made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which
the appeal is to be based.
