RESOLUTION NO.9 6-97
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION Of A JOINT PROJECT
AGREEMENT AND MEMORANDUM Of AGREEMENT fOR A PD&E STUDY WITH
THE STATE OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION AND
PROVIDING AN EffECTIVE DATE.

WHEREAS, the Collier County Board of County COlIITIlssloners (hereinafter
"Board")ls Interested In the coordination and early identification of roadway
llIprovelllent needs and constraints so as to allow early and cost effective
resolution of same; and
WHEREAS, the Board, as part of the AUIR, allocated funds to advance the
PO&E StUdy of U.S. 41 so as to ensure U.S. 41 corridor planning both north and
south of the Collier County line; and
WHEREAS, the State of f10rlda Dep~rtment of Transportation (hereinafter
"FOOT') has prepared the Joint Project Agreement and Memorandum of Agreement for
both advancement of the PD&E Study and funding in the amount of S200,000 which
would be reimbursable In fY 199B-99; and
WHEREAS, the U.S. 41 Project, Identified as CIE '71, bears a projected
deficient service level in the year 2003 requiring PD&E Study be performed In
the current five-Year Program.

NOW, THEREfORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD Of COUNTY COMMISSIONERS Of
COLLIER COUNTY, fLORIDA:
SECTION I: That the Board does hereby authorize Its Chairman to execute a Joint
Project A9reement and a Memorandum of Agreement between Collier County and the
State of f10rlda Department of Transportation for U.S. 41, from the Lee County
Line to north of County Road BB7, PD&E Study In the amount of S200,OOO.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage.
SECTION 3 : All Reso 1 ut ions and parts of Reso 1 uti ons in confl i ct herewith be
