Recommendation to appoint Natalie Tyler and Christina Guerrero to the Immokalee Community Redevelopment
Advisory Board.
OBJECTIVE: To appoint Natalie Tyler and Christina Guerrero to the Immokalee Community Redevelopment Advisory
Board.
CONSIDERATIONS: By Ordinance 2025-27 and by CRA Resolution No. 2025-113, both dated May 27, 2025, the
Board of County Commissioners merged the Immokalee Beautification Advisory Committee with the Immokalee Local
Redevelopment Board into a single unified advisory committee, to form the Immokalee Community Redevelopment
Board to be the primary vehicle for community and professional input for matters relating to the Immokalee
Redevelopment Area. This eleven-member board is to be comprised of two Immokalee CRA residents, one Immokalee
MSTU resident, two members who are owners/representatives of an Immokalee business or commercial property, one
non-profit representative, three at-large members, and two non-voting members. Terms are 4 years. A list of the current
membership is included in the backup.
There are two vacant seats on this board. The vacancies were advertised, and the following applications were received:

COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION: At its meeting on March 26, 2026, the advisory board voted unanimously to
recommend that Natalie Tyler be appointed, in the category of Non-Profit Representative, to finish the remainder of a
vacant term expiring on June 24, 2027. The advisory board also unanimously recommended Christina Guerrero be
appointed to the Non-voting seat to finish the remainder of a vacant term expiring June 24, 2029, and requests that the
Board waive the residential requirement. Ms. Guerrero’s status as a member of the Immokalee Eastern Chamber of
Commerce and a 15+ year Immokalee business owner will be a valuable addition to the CRA. A recommendation memo
is included in the backup.
FISCAL IMPACT: There is no fiscal impact associated with this action.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no growth management impact associated with this action.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item is approved as to form and legality and requires majority vote for Board

RECOMMENDATION(S): That the Board of County Commissioners, sitting as the Collier County Community
Redevelopment Agency, adopts the Committee Recommendation and authorizes the Chair to execute the attached
resolution confirming the appointments.

The Immokalee Community Redevelopment Advisory board has received and reviewed two applications
for the positions listed below. Applicants were evaluated based on their potential contributions to the
Committee. Natalie Tyler meets the criteria required to be eligible for the committee as she resides and
works rvithin the CRA district boundary. Christina Guerrero would need to request a waiver. as she
doesn't reside or work within the CRA district boundarv.
At the March 18,2026, advisory board meeting the board voted unanimously 6-0 to appoint Natalic-l'yler
and Chistina Guerrero to the vacant terms as indicated below. Ms. Natalie Tyler resides and works within
the CRA district boundary. Ms. Christina Guerrero is requesting that the requirement to reside or work
u'ithin the CRA district boundary be waived for this appointment.

A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, APPOINTING NATALIE TYLER
AND CHRISTINA GUERRERO TO THE IMMOKALEE COMMUNITY
REDEVELOPMENT ADVISORY BOARD.
WHEREAS, on May 27, 2025, the Board of County Commissioners adopted Ordinance
No. 25-27, establishing the Immokalee Community Redevelopment Board to serve as the
primary source of community input and to make recommendations to further the goals of the
Immokalee Community Redevelopment Area and it’s MSTU; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 25-27 provides for the membership to be composed of nine
regular members and two non-voting seats in the categories set forth by the Ordinance.
WHEREAS, there are two vacant seats on the committee; and
WHEREAS, the Board has provided public notice soliciting applications from
interested parties.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that NATALIE TYLER, in the
category of Non-Profit representative, be appointed to the Immokalee Community
Redevelopment Advisory Board to serve the remainder of a vacant term expiring June 24,
2027; and that CHRISTINA GUERRERO, as a non-voting member, has the residential
requirement waived and is hereby appointed to the Immokalee Community Redevelopment
Advisory Board, to serve the remainder of a vacant term expiring on June 24, 2029.
