Executive Summary
Recommendation to approve the use of $2,000 from the Confiscated Trust Funds to support the Florida FBI National
Academy Associates, Inc. (FBINAA).
OBJECTIVE: To request that the Board approve the use of $2,000 to support the Florida FBI National Academy
Associates, Inc.
CONSIDERATIONS: The Florida FBI National Academy Associates, Inc., by virtue of Section 932.7055 (5)(c) 1
Florida Statutes, is seeking Board authorization for the appropriation of funds to assist with offsetting the cost of the
FBINAA Retraining Conference. The FBINAA Retraining Conference will be held in Naples from August 1 through
August 4, 2026, and will provide excellent training and networking for all attendees. The funds will directly support the
conference with an emphasis on the training component.
The Collier County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) requests Board approval to appropriate $2,000 to support the Florida FBI
National Academy Associates, Inc.
FISCAL IMPACT: A Budget Amendment is needed for $2,000 from the Confiscated Trust Fund (1068) reserves to
support the Florida FBI National Academy Associates, Inc. The source of funding is proceeds from confiscated property.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no growth management impact associated with this action.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been reviewed by the County Attorney, is approved as to form and
legality, and requires a majority vote for approval. -JAK
RECOMMENDATION(S): To authorize the Budget Amendment to appropriate $2,000 Confiscated Trust Funds to
support the Florida FBI National Academy Associates, Inc.
