RESOLUTION URGING THE STATE OF FLORIDA
TO PURCHASE THE PROPERTY KNOWN AS LELY
BOOK O81 Pro. 74 FLORIDABART EFOO BEACH LOCATED IN COLLIER COUNTY,
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the citizens of
Collier County and the State of Florida that the beachfront
"°. . property known .as Lely Barefoot Beach, as depicted on the
attached map, incorporated herein by reference, all of which
beachfront property is. located in Collier County, Florida; and
WHEREAS, acquisition of the Lely Barefoot Beach will provide
9,300± front feet of prime beachfront ert

property is adjacent to an existing State Preserve containing
another 5,000- front feet of beach; the entire approximate 14,300 "
front feet being located just to the north of Wiggins Pass and
Delnor Wiggins State Park, which contains another some 5,800 r
lineal feet of beach.;
NOW rHEREFORC, nE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COM1.IISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the State of .'
Florida, and appropriate state Agencies, are encouraged to study

the purchase of the heachfront property known as Lely Barefoot
• Beach as depicted on the attached map, all within Collier County,
Florida, said purchnse being in the bent interest of the
citizens of they ,St-Le of Florida as a whole and of the citizens
of Collier County
,y.. . The Board of County Commissioners of Collier
County will assist the State of Florida in any way necessary to
effectuate this purchase,
