Agenda 03/10/2026 Item #16B 7 (Budget Amendment to recognize revenue and transfer funding for projects within the Transportation Supported Gas Tax Fund)3/10/2026 Item # 16.B.7 ID# 2026-346 Executive Summary Recommendation to authorize a Budget Amendment to recognize revenue and transfer funding for projects within the Transportation Supported Gas Tax Fund (3083) and Transportation & CDES Capital Fund (3081) in the amount of $1,021,594.74. (Projects 60214, 60085, 60066, 60088, 69331, 69336, 69338, and 69339) OBJECTIVE: For the Board of County Commissioners to authorize a budget amendment to recognize revenue for Immokalee Woodcrest Way, Traffic Impact Study Review Programs, Congestion Management, Planned Unit Development Monitoring/Traffic Counts, and Countywide Pathway Programs within the Transportation Supported Gas Tax Fund (3083) and CDES Transportation Capital Fund (3081). CONSIDERATIONS: Funds have been collected specifically as payment-in-lieu, and project review fees from the application and monitoring process. These funds are required to be tracked and spent on projects for which the developments were identified for mitigation or on consultant contracts to perform the studies on the development’s behalf under required monitoring conditions. These funds were collected in fiscal year 2026 and exceeded the budgeted revenues. It is now appropriate to recognize these revenues and transfer the funds into the following projects: Fund / Project Title Gas Tax Capital Fund 3083: Immokalee Woodcrest Way (60214) $106,525.00 TIS Review (60085) $ 30,000.00 Total for Fund 3083 $ 136,525.00 Transportation & CDES Capital Fund 3081: PUD Monitoring/Traffic Counts (60088) $ 4,500.00 Congestion Management (60066) $ 792,000.00 Bikeways/Sidewalks/Pathways (69331) $ 813.03 Bikeways/Sidewalks/Pathways (69336) $ 748.00 Bikeways/Sidewalks/Pathways (69338) $ 52,635.91 Bikeways/Sidewalks/Pathways (69339) $ 34,372.80 Total for Fund 3081 $ 885,069.74 Total revenue to be recognized $1,021,594.74 This item is consistent with the Collier County strategic plan objective to design and maintain an effective transportation system to reduce traffic congestion and improve the mobility of our residents and visitors. FISCAL IMPACT: Budget amendments are needed to recognize the additional revenue exceeding FY26 budgeted amounts and appropriate into the correct projects within the Transportation Gas Tax Fund (3083) for $136,525.00 and Transportation & CDES Capital Fund (3081) in the amount of $885,069.74 GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: This project meets current Growth Management Plan standards to ensure the adequacy and availability of viable public facilities.
