Executive Summary
Recommendation for the Board of County Commissioners to review and approve the proposed Temporary Use (Special
Event) Permit for the Isles of Capri Spring Picnic proposed on March 21, 2026, located at 920 Capri Blvd., Naples, FL
34113, in Section 32, Township 51 South, Range 26 East, Collier County, Florida. [PL202600002785]
OBJECTIVE: To provide the Board of County Commissioners (Board) with all relevant information regarding the
proposed Isles of Capri Spring Picnic to be held on Collier County Public Utilities property, including the arrangements
for amplified sound, and to establish a complete record for consideration to approve a Temporary Use (Special Event)
Permit application.
CONSIDERATIONS: The proposed Isles of Capri Spring Picnic Special Event Permit application requests approval
for the event to be held in the grassy area adjacent to the Public Utilities station on Saturday, March 21, 2026, from
11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Event Map (attached) shows the proposed location of the event. A separate amplified sound
permit will be issued for announcements and background music. There is no objection from the Public Utilities or
Transportation Management Services Departments.
Land Development Code (LDC) Section 5.04.05 D., Temporary events on Collier County property, requires that a
Board approved agreement shall be required for temporary events on all Collier County parks, facilities, and other
property.
The request supports the strategic plan by providing quality public amenities and recreational opportunities.
FISCAL IMPACT: There is no fiscal impact associated with this action.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no Growth Management impact associated with this action.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item is approved as to form and legality and requires a majority vote for approval.
