OBJECTIVE: To have the Board of County Commissioners approve an after -the -fact Special Event Permit and the road closures of sections of County Road 29 (CR 29) for the Everglades Seafood Festival, held February 13 — 15, 2026, in Everglades City. CONSIDERATIONS: Everglades City hosted their Annual Everglades Seafood Festival February 13 — 15, 2026 in Everglades City. Additionally, the event organizers received approval from Collier County Public Utilities for waste disposal and recycling plans. Temporary sanitation facilities were provided and serviced. There was no amplified sound for the event. This item supports the strategic plan to encourage diverse economic opportunities by fostering a business -friendly environment. FISCAL IMPACT: The $150 permit fee will be paid by the applicant and collected upon Board approval. GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no Growth Management Impact associated with this action. LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item is approved as to form and legality and requires a majority vote for Board approval. — CLD RECOMMENDATION(S): To approve the after -the -fact Special Event Permit and road closures necessary for the Annual Everglades Seafood Festival, held February 13 — 15, 2026, in Everglades City.
