Beach Library location and authorize the necessary Budget Amendment. (Public Services Grant Fund 1839)
OBJECTIVE: To accept a non-restricted grant donation to benefit the patrons of the Collier County Vanderbilt Beach
Library. This objective aligns with Collier County’s Strategic Objective to provide quality public amenities and
recreational opportunities through support for the Collier County Library.
CONSIDERATIONS: On December 17, 2025, the Point Harbor Fund contributed $1,500.00 towards the Collier
County Public Library’s Vanderbilt Beach location through the Maine Community Foundation’s donor-advised grant

programs that enable individuals the ability to establish professionally managed charitable funds to support causes in
Maine and elsewhere.
The Donor has specified that the grant award must be used only to support operations at the Vanderbilt Beach Library;
therefore, this constitutes a restriction on use. Additionally, the grantor has clarified the award requiring the maintenance
of a 501(c)3 designation is not applicable or a condition of grant acceptance for this award.
This item is consistent with the Collier County strategic plan objective to provide quality public amenities and
recreational opportunities.
FISCAL IMPACT: A Budget Amendment is required to appropriate the donations in the amount of $1,500.00 within
the Public Services Grant Fund (1839) Project 33609. There is no requirement for a county match.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no growth management impact.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been approved as to form and legality and requires the majority vote for
