WHEREAS, the volunteering of one’s time, skills, and resources has long stood as a cornerstone of
community strength, exemplifying the spirit of public service that binds neighbors
together; and
WHEREAS, in times when hazards threaten public safety, it is the unwavering commitment of our most
dedicated citizens and businesses that safeguards our community, as they step forward with
generosity, courage, and a shared sense of responsibility; and
WHEREAS, J & M Marine Construction is one such exemplary local company, volunteering their
expertise, equipment, and labor to assist with the removal of dangerous debris on October
27, 2025, from Keewaydin Island—an area frequented by both residents and visitors; and
WHEREAS, the people of Collier County have benefited greatly from J & M Marine Construction’s
selfless public service, whose actions reflect the highest values of citizenship and
contribute meaningfully to the safety and well-being of our community;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it proclaimed by the Board of County Commissioners of Collier County,
Florida, that J & M Marine Construction is hereby recognized and honored for its
outstanding contributions, exemplary public service, and steadfast commitment to the
citizens of Collier County.
To recognize J & M Marine Construction for exemplary public service in voluntarily providing
crews and equipment for the removal of dangerous debris from the waters around Keewaydin
Island.
