Executive Summary
Recommendation to reappoint Willie Brice III to the Golden Gate Community Center Advisory Board.
OBJECTIVE: To reappoint Willie Brice III to the Golden Gate Community Center Advisory Board.
CONSIDERATIONS: This 5-member committee was created by Ord. No. 75-4, as amended, to advise the Board of
County Commissioners on the budget and operation of the Golden Gate Community Center. Members must reside
within the boundaries of the Golden Gate Community Center Municipal Services Special Taxing District. Terms are 3
years. A list of the current membership is included in the backup.
There is one seat on this committee expiring on December 31, 2025. The vacancy was advertised, and the following
applications were received:

COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION: At a board meeting on November 3, 2025, the committee voted to
recommend that Mr. Brice be reappointed to his seat, to a three-year term expiring on December 31, 2028. A
recommendation email is included in the backup.
FISCAL IMPACT: There is no fiscal impact associated with this action.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no growth management impact associated with this action.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item is approved as to form and legality and requires majority vote for approval. -

RESOLUTION NO. 2025 - _____
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, REAPPOINTING WILLIE BRICE III TO
THE GOLDEN GATE COMMUNITY CENTER ADVISORY BOARD.
WHEREAS, on February 18, 1975, the Board of County Commissioners (Board) adopted
Ordinance No. 75-04, as subsequently amended, establishing the Golden Gate Community Center
Advisory Board to advise the Board on the budget and operation of the Golden Gate Community
Center; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 75-04, as amended, provides that the Advisory Board shall be
composed of three to five electors residing within the Golden Gate Municipal Services District;
and
WHEREAS, there is one expiring seat in December, on this Advisory Board; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners previously provided public notice
soliciting applications from interested parties; and
WHEREAS, the Golden Gate Community Center Advisory Board has provided the Board
of County Commissioners with its recommendation for reappointment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that WILLIE BRICE III is hereby
reappointed to the Golden Gate Community Center Advisory Board, to serve a three-year term
which shall expire on December 31, 2028.
THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED upon majority vote on the 9th day of December, 2025.
