Executive Summary
Recommendation to appoint Ryan Schwartz to the Vanderbilt Beach Beautification MSTU Advisory Committee.
OBJECTIVE: To appoint Ryan Schwartz to the Vanderbilt Beach Beautification MSTU Advisory Committee to a four-
year term expiring on November 13, 2029.
CONSIDERATIONS: This five-member committee was established on July 31, 2001, by Ordinance No. 2001-43. The
committee assists the BCC in carrying out the purposes of the MSTU, prepares and recommends to the BCC an itemized
budget for the MSTU, and recommends work programs and priorities to the County Manager. Members must be
permanent residents within the MSTU boundaries. Terms are 4 years. A list of the current membership is included in the
backup.
There is one vacant seat on this committee that expired on November 13, 2025. The vacancy was advertised, and the
following application was received:

COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION: At its regular meeting on November 6, 2025, the committee voted
unanimously to recommend that Mr. Schwartz be appointed to the committee, to a four-year term, that will expire on
November 13, 2029. A recommendation memo is included in the backup.
FISCAL IMPACT: There is no fiscal impact associated with this action.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no growth management impact associated with this action.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item is approved as to form and legality and requires majority vote for approval. -

authorizes the Chair to execute the attached resolution confirming the appointment.

RESOLUTION NO. 2025 - _____
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, APPOINTING RYAN SCHWARTZ
TO THE VANDERBILT BEACH BEAUTIFICATION ADVISORY
COMMITTEE.
WHEREAS, Collier County Ordinance No. 2001-43 established the Vanderbilt Beach
Beautification Advisory Committee (Committee) to aid and assist the Board of County
Commissioners (Board) in carrying out the purposes of the Vanderbilt Beach Beautification
Municipal Service Taxing Unit (MSTU); and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 2001-43, as amended, provides that this Committee shall
consist of five members who reside within the MSTU; and
WHEREAS, there is one vacant seat on this Committee; and
WHEREAS, the Board previously provided public notice soliciting applications from
interested parties; and
WHEREAS, the Committee has provided the Board with its recommendation for
appointment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that RYAN SCHWARTZ is hereby
appointed to the Vanderbilt Beach Beautification Advisory Committee, to serve a four-year term
which shall expire on November 13, 2029.
THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED upon majority vote on the 9th day of December 2025.
