Executive Summary
Recommendation to accept and appropriate a donation in the amount of $2,276.05 from Phoenix Associates of Southwest
Florida, Inc., to reimburse the County for the cost of production and installation of the four Charlie Kirk Memorial
Highway signs and authorize the necessary Budget Amendment.
OBJECTIVE: To accept a donation from Phoenix Associates of Southwest Florida, Inc. in the amount of $2,276.05 to
pay for the cost of four signs produced and installed by the Transportation Management Services Department.
CONSIDERATIONS: At the October 28, 2025, meeting, the Board directed staff to install four signs along Immokalee
Road, designating the corridor as the Charlie Kirk Memorial Highway. Following the Board direction, staff produced
and installed the signs for a total cost of $2,276.05. Phoenix Associates of Southwest Florida would like to donate the
funds to the County to cover the costs of production and installation.
FISCAL IMPACT: A budget amendment is needed to appropriate the donation total $2,276.05 within Transportation
Services Fund (1001) Traffic Operations Fund Center (163630).
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no Growth Management impact associated with this action.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been reviewed by the County Attorney, is approved as to form and
legality and requires a majority vote for approval. -JAK
RECOMMENDATION(S): To accept and appropriate a donation in the amount of $2,276.05 to pay for the production
and installation of fours signs and authorize the necessary Budget Amendment.
