RESOLUTION NO.89- 118
THE EXISTING SPEED LIMIT ON
GOLDEN GATE PARKHAY AND THE
THIRTY (30) MILES PER HOUR TO
RESOLUTION TO INCREASE
LIVINGSTON ROAD BETI,EEN
ENTRANCE OF IHNDEMERE FROM
FORTY (40) MILES PER HOUR
HHEREAS, Chapter 316.189, Florida Statutes, authorizes the
Board of County Commissioners to alter or E~tablish speed limits
on roads under its jurisdiction: and
WHEREAS, Livingston Road, a road being an approximate .94 of
a mile between Point A, Golden Gate parkt.ray, and Point B, the
entrance of Wyndemere, is a County Road unctl!r the jurisdiction of
the Board of County Commissioners; and
WHEREAS,
in accordance
with
Chap~er 316.189, Florida
Statutes, a traffic analysis has been made for Livingston Road
between Golden Gate Parkway and the entrance of Wyndemerei and
WHEREAS, this analysis indicates that an increase of the
speed zone from thirty (30) miles per hour to a maximum of forty
(40) miles per hour is reasonable and in conformance with the
criteria promulgated by the Florida Department of Transportation;
and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has determined
that it will be in the best interest and benefit of the citizens
of Collier County to increase the speed limit from thirty (30)
miles per hour to a maximum of forty (40) miles per hour on the
aforesaid area namely Livingston Road between Golden Gate Parkway
and the entrance of Hyndemere.
NOH THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the speed limit on
Livingston Road between Golden Gate Parkway and the entrance of
Wyndemere is hereby increased from thirty (30) miles per hour to a
maximum speed of forty (40) miles per hour, and does hereby
authorize and instruct the County Transportation Services Division
to erect speed limit signs in accordance with Chapter 316.189 (3),
Florida statutes.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this resolution be
forwarded to Sheriff Don Hunter for proper. enforcement of this
speed limit.
This Resolution adopted after motion, second and mlljority
vote.
