Item # 16.A.10
ID# 2025-4287
Executive Summary
Recommendation that the Board approve and authorize the grant of a County Utility Easement to the Collier County
Water-Sewer District, as part of the renovations to the Pelican Bay Community Park, located at 764 Vanderbilt Beach
Rd., Naples, 34108.
OBJECTIVE: To provide Collier County Water-Sewer District (“CCWSD”) with a County Utility Easement on
County-maintained property, to allow for the conveyance of a fire line and hydrant installed as a part of the
improvements to Pelican Bay Community Park (the “Park”).
CONSIDERATIONS: The Collier County Parks and Recreation Division is responsible for constructing, operating,
and maintaining the Park. As a part of the renovations to the Park, which included the addition of a new building to
support the pickleball courts that are currently under construction, the North Collier Fire and Rescue District required
that a fire line and new fire hydrant be installed within the Park to provide fire protection to the new pickleball support
building. The new fire line and fire hydrant will be conveyed to the ownership of the Collier County Water-Sewer
District for perpetual operation and maintenance, and the Collier County Water-Sewer District will require a County
Utility Easement to be granted over the fire line and hydrant that is being conveyed.
Executing and recording the attached Easement is necessary for project completion.
Parks & Recreation and Public Utilities staff have reviewed this Executive Summary.
Approval of this easement will provide public amenities and recreational opportunities.
FISCAL IMPACT: Recording costs shall not exceed thirty-six dollars ($36.00) and shall be paid from Fund 1011,
MSTU General Fund.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no impact to the Collier County Growth Management Plan.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item is approved for form and legality and requires a majority vote for approval -
SAA
RECOMMENDATIONS:
