OBJECTIVE: To provide Collier County Water-Sewer District (“CCWSD”) with a County Utility Easement on County-maintained property, to allow for the conveyance of a fire line and hydrant installed as a part of the improvements to Pelican Bay Community Park (the “Park”). The new fire line and fire hydrant will be conveyed to the ownership of the Collier County Water-Sewer District for perpetual operation and maintenance, and the Collier County Water-Sewer District will require a County Utility Easement to be granted over the fire line and hydrant that is being conveyed. Executing and recording the attached Easement is necessary for project completion. Parks & Recreation and Public Utilities staff have reviewed this Executive Summary. Approval of this easement will provide public amenities and recreational opportunities. FISCAL IMPACT: Recording costs shall not exceed thirty-six dollars ($36.00) and shall be paid from Fund 1011, MSTU General Fund. GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no impact to the Collier County Growth Management Plan. LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item is approved for form and legality and requires a majority vote for approval - SAA RECOMMENDATIONS: To: (1) approve the attached County Utility Easement and authorize its Chairman to execute the Easement; and (2) direct the County Manager or her designee to record the Easement in the Public Records of Collier County, Florida.
