Executive Summary
Recommendation to approve a License Agreement for the limited use of County-Owned property by DeAngelis
Diamond Construction, LLC, for the purpose of construction storage, parking, and job site trailer area for The Gate Golf
Course project.
OBJECTIVE: To approve a License Agreement for the use of County-owned property for the purpose of construction
storage, parking, and a job site trailer area for The Gate Golf Course project.
CONSIDERATIONS: On June 25, 2019, the Board approved the acquisition of the Golden Gate Golf Course located at
4100 Golden Gate Blvd. (Agenda Item 11.C). The County subsequently took ownership of the property on July 31,
2019.
On April 23, 2024, the Board approved a long-term lease and operating agreement with The Gate Golf Club, Inc. (“The
Gate”) for the construction, renovation, and operation of a new public golf facility (Agenda Item 11. D). The Gate has
contracted DeAngelis Diamond Construction, LLC (“DeAngelis Diamond”) to lead construction of the project.
To support construction activities, DeAngelis Diamond has requested a License Agreement (“Agreement”) to utilize
adjacent County-owned property for construction storage, parking, and placement of job site trailers.
The proposed site is located at 4150 Golden Gate Parkway, Naples, Florida 34116, and is identified in Exhibit A of the
Agreement. The Agreement authorizes use of the site through July 31, 2026, with an early termination clause available
to the County. Key terms include a monthly rental fee of $600.00, required liability insurance, and indemnity provisions.
Access to the licensed area must be exclusively via the maintenance facility access road on Golden Gate Parkway.
This item is consistent with the Responsible Governance, Quality of Place, and Infrastructure and Asset Management
strategic focus areas of the Collier County Strategic Plan.
FISCAL IMPACT: The monthly rent of Six Hundred Dollars ($600) will be deposited within the County-Wide Capital
Fund (3001), Project No. 80412.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: This item is consistent with the Growth Management Plan.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item is approved as to form and legality and requires majority vote for Board
