Agenda 06/10/2025 Item #16B10 (FY 2025/26 Transportation Disadvantaged Planning Grant funding to the Collier MPO)6/10/2025 Item # 16.B.10 ID# 2025-1823 Executive Summary Recommendation to recognize FY 2025/26 Transportation Disadvantaged Planning Grant funding in the amount of $31,757 to the Collier Metropolitan Planning Organization from the Commission for the Transportation Disadvantaged and to authorize the necessary Budget Amendment. (Fund 1841, Project 33944) OBJECTIVE: To recognize funding awarded to the Collier Metropolitan Planning Organization (the “Collier MPO”) by the Commission for the Transportation Disadvantaged ("CTD") and to authorize the necessary budget amendment. CONSIDERATIONS: Annually, the Collier MPO enters into an agreement with the CTD to perform planning duties set forth in Chapter 427, Florida Statutes, Rule 41-2, Florida Administrative Code, CTD Commission policies and the Program Manual and Instructions for the Planning Grant. The Collier MPO’s Board is expected to approve the FY2025/26 award in the amount of $31,757 and authorize its Chairman to execute the CTD funding agreement at its June 13, 2025, meeting. The Collier MPO is an independent agency that manages its own funds. The Board of County Commissioners appropriates the Collier MPO’s annual operating budget and acts as the custodian of the Collier MPO’s account, with the Clerk of Courts assisting with the administration of the account. This item supports The Strategic Plan objective to support access to health, wellness, and human services. FISCAL IMPACT: A budget amendment is required to recognize grant revenue in the amount of $31,757 in Transportation Grant Fund 1841, Project 33944. There is no local match requirement. Funding begins July 1, 2025, and does not coincide with the County’s budget cycle. GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: This request is consistent with Objective 12, Policy 12.1, Transportation Element, of Collier County’s Growth Management Plan. LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been reviewed by the County Attorney, raises no legal issues and requires majority vote for approval. -JAK RECOMMENDATIONS: To recognize and authorize the necessary budget amendment for FY 2025/26 grant revenue totaling $31,757, resulting from an expected grant award by the CTD to the Collier MPO.
