Agenda 06/10/2025 Item #16A11 (Easement to FPL for the relocation of an existing transformer at the Pelican Bay Community Park)6/10/2025 Item # 16.A.11 ID# 2025-1925 Executive Summary Recommendation to approve an Easement to Florida Power & Light Company for relocation of an existing transformer to accommodate the parking lot modifications at the Pelican Bay Community Park at 764 Vanderbilt Beach Road, Naples, Florida 34108. OBJECTIVE: To obtain approval for the requested Florida Power & Light Company (“FPL”) Easement to allow for the proposed parking lot expansion associated with the improvements to Pelican Bay Community Park. CONSIDERATIONS: The Collier County Parks and Recreation Division is responsible for constructing, operating, and maintaining Pelican Bay Community Park. FPL must relocate a transformer to allow for the expansion of the parking lot as part of the improvements to Pelican Bay Community Park. Executing and recording the attached Easement for FPL will be necessary for FPL to relocate the existing transformer to allow for the parking lot expansion. The Easement comprises ±637.26 square feet, as shown and described in the attached file. The Easement has been reviewed and approved by the Collier County Parks and Recreation Division and the County Attorney’s Office. Provide quality public amenities and recreational opportunities. FISCAL IMPACT: Recording costs shall not exceed twenty-seven ($27.00) dollars and will be paid by Fund 1011. GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no Growth Management Impact associated with this Executive Summary. LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item is approved as to form and legality and requires a majority vote for approval. - SAA RECOMMENDATIONS: To approve and authorize the Chairman to execute the FPL Easement and direct the County Manager or designee to proceed with all appropriate procedures to record the Easement in the Public Records of Collier County, Florida.
