Agenda 05/13/2025 Item #17A (This Item has been continued to the May 27, 2025 BCC Meeting - Immokalee Overlay LDC amendment Ordinance) NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE OF INTENT TO CONSIDER AN ORDINANCE Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held by the Collier County Board of County Commissioners commencing at 9:00 A.M. on May 13, 2025, in the Board of County Commissioners meeting room, third floor, Collier Government Center, 3299 East Tamiami Trail, Naples, FL, to consider: AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, AMENDING ORDINANCE NUMBER 04-41, AS AMENDED, THE COLLIER COUNTY LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE AND ZONING ATLAS, WHICH INCLUDES THE COMPREHENSIVE LAND REGULATIONS FOR THE UNINCORPORATED AREA OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, TO IMPLEMENT THE IMMOKALEE AREA MASTER PLAN ELEMENT OF THE GROWTH MANAGEMENT PLAN, TO CHANGE THE IMMOKALEE URBAN OVERLAY DISTRICT TO IMMOKALEE URBAN AREA OVERLAY DISTRICT (IUAOD) ZONING DISTRICT, TO REVISE, RENAME AND ADD SUBDISTRICTS, AND TO ESTABLISH USES, BOUNDARIES, AND DESIGN STANDARDS, BY PROVIDING FOR: SECTION ONE, RECITALS; SECTION TWO, FINDINGS OF FACT; SECTION THREE, ADOPTION OF AMENDMENTS TO THE LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE, MORE SPECIFICALLY AMENDING THE FOLLOWING: CHAPTER TWO ZONING DISTRICTS AND USES, INCLUDING SECTION 2.03.07 OVERLAY ZONING DISTRICTS, SECTION 2.06.01 GENERALLY; CHAPTER FOUR SITE DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS, INCLUDING SECTION 4.02.27 SPECIFIC DESIGN STANDARDS FOR THE IMMOKALEE—STATE ROAD 29A COMMERCIAL OVERLAY SUBDISTRICT, REPEALING SECTION 4.02.28 SPECIFIC DESIGN STANDARDS FOR THE IMMOKALEE—JEFFERSON AVENUE COMMERCIAL OVERLAY SUBDISTRICT, REPEALING SECTION 4.02.29 SPECIFIC DESIGN STANDARDS FOR THE IMMOKALEE—FARM MARKET OVERLAY SUBDISTRICT, REPEALING SECTION 4.02.30 SPECIFIC DESIGN STANDARDS FOR THE IMMOKALEE—AGRIBUSINESS OVERLAY SUBDISTRICT, REPEALING SECTION 4.02.31 SPECIFIC DESIGN STANDARDS FOR THE IMMOKALEE—CENTRAL BUSINESS OVERLAY SUBDISTRICT, REPEALING SECTION 4.02.32 SPECIFIC DESIGN STANDARDS FOR THE IMMOKALEE—MAIN STREET OVERLAY SUBDISTRICT, REPEALING SECTION 4.02.33 SPECIFIC DESIGN STANDARDS FOR NEW MOBILE HOME LOTS IN THE IMMOKALEE URBAN OVERLAY SUBDISTRICT; CHAPTER FIVE SUPPLEMENTAL STANDARDS, INCLUDING SECTION 5.03.02 FENCES AND WALLS, EXCLUDING SOUND WALLS; SECTION FOUR, CONFLICT AND SEVERABILITY; SECTION FIVE, INCLUSION IN THE COLLIER COUNTY LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE; AND SECTION SIX, EFFECTIVE DATE. (PL20240004278) Page 4472 of 5243 A copy of the proposed Ordinance is on file with the Clerk to the Board and is available for inspection. All interested parties are invited to attend and be heard. All persons wishing to speak on any agenda item must register with the County Manager prior to presentation of the agenda item to be addressed. Individual speakers will be limited to 3 minutes on any item. The selection of an individual to speak on behalf of an organization or group is encouraged. If recognized by the Chairman, a spokesperson for a group or organization may be allotted 10 minutes to speak on an item. Written materials intended to be considered by the Board shall be submitted to the appropr iate County staff a minimum of 7 days prior to the public hearing. All materials used in presentations before the Board will become a permanent part of the record. As part of an ongoing initiative to encourage public involvement, the public will have the opportunity to provide public comments remotely, as well as in person, during this proceeding. Individuals who would like to participate remotely should register through the link provided within the specific event/meeting entry on the Calendar of Events on the County website at www.colliercountyfl.gov/our-county/visitors/calendar-of-events after the agenda is posted on the County website. Registration should be done in advance of the public meeting or any deadline specified within the public meeting notice. Individuals who register will receive an email in advance of the public hearing deta iling how they can participate remotely in this meeting.
