Agenda 04/22/2025 Item #16B 5 (Approved First Amendment to Agreement No. 21-7902 with AIM Engineering & Surveying, Inc., and extending the days for tasks 2, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 for the “Goodlette- Frank Stormwater & Ditch Improvements project (60102))4/22/2025 Item # 16.B.5 ID# 2025-1021 Executive Summary Recommendation to ratify the administratively approved First Amendment to Agreement No. 21-7902 with AIM Engineering & Surveying, Inc., adding $42,660.00 and extending the days for tasks 2, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 for the “Goodlette- Frank Stormwater & Ditch Improvements (Section B)” project (60102). OBJECTIVE: To add $42,660.00 and extend the days for tasks 2, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 for the “Goodlette-Frank Stormwater & Ditch Improvements (Section B)” project (60102). CONSIDERATIONS: On November 9, 2021, the Board approved Agreement No. 21-7902, “Goodlette-Frank Stormwater & Ditch Improvements (Section B)”, with AIM Engineering & Surveying, Inc. This project improves the ditch on the west side of Goodlette-Frank Road approximately 1400’ south of the intersection with Orange Blossom Drive, north to Vanderbilt Beach Road. The design includes improved conveyance capacity, erosion control and bank stabilization. On October 29, 2024, a First Amendment, was administratively executed that added $42,660.00 to the project and extended the time for the following tasks: Task Description Number of Calendar Days 2.0 FIELD DATA COLLECTION 842 5.0 PERMITTING 1022 6.0 FINAL ENGINEERING DESIGN 1082 7.0 PRE-CONSTRUCTION SUPPORT 1442 8.0 PUBLIC INFO AND COMMUNITY OUTREACH 1442 9.0 CONSTRUCTION PHASE SERVICES 2162 Extending the time of the Agreement is necessary to allow for additional public coordination and address design changes related to drainage easements. Additionally, continued revisions to landscaping and aesthetic improvements, along with efforts to secure additional easements, require more time and resources for effective guidance and coordination. Ratification of the First Amendment will also provide funds for additional engineering design work, public information and community outreach efforts, and the preparation of legal descriptions and sketches for the required drainage easements. This item is consistent with the Infrastructure and Asset Management element of Collier County’s Strategic Plan by preparing for the impacts of natural disasters on our critical infrastructure and natural resources. FISCAL IMPACT: This request increases both the amount of days and funding in the amount of $42,660.00. Funds are available within the Stormwater Bond Fund (3052), Gordon River Project (60102). The source of funds is stormwater bond revenue. GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: This project is in accordance with the goals and objectives of the Stormwater Element of the Growth Management Plan.
