OBJECTIVE: To adopt the 2025 Strategic Plan. CONSIDERATIONS: On March 4, 2025, the Board of County Commissioners (“Board”) held a workshop to discuss proposed modifications to the previously adopted Strategic Plan. The Strategic Initiatives Division led the Board through a presentation that illustrated the proposed updates to the Strategic Plan. Throughout the Strategic Initiatives Division’s presentation, the Board discussed the proposed plan and provided input and suggestions to further update the plan. Asset Management Plans - Public Services Public Services Department eliminated through reorganization. There are no updates to the basic Strategic Plan which includes the Values, Vision, Mission, Strategic Focus Areas, and Objectives. However, there are minor updates to the Collier County Priorities list. Specifically, one priority project was completed in 2024, certain priority projects were combined into one project(s), and other priority projects’ titles had words stricken for clarity as indicated by the table above. Furthermore, the 2025 Collier County Priorities have been categorized in two groups – A and B. Category A priorities will be updated on a quarterly basis and Category B priorities will be updated on an annual basis. Upon adoption, these materials will be made available to County staff and the public via the County website, staff training, and new hire orientation. This item is consistent with the Collier County Strategic Plan Objectives to promote data-driven decision-making through performance management, continuous improvement, and measurable results, and to foster a high-performing work culture with transparency and accountability. FISCAL IMPACT: There is no direct fiscal impact associated with the adoption of the Strategic Plan update. GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no growth management impact associated with this action. LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been reviewed by the County Attorney, raises no legal issues, and requires majority vote for Board action. -JAK RECOMMENDATIONS: To adopt the updated strategic plan materials and make them available internally and externally through the County’s website, staff training, and new hire orientation.
